I'm about 45 miles southwest of Hopkinsville KY which is one of the places to be in viewing the eclipse. Totality in my area is close to 2 minutes. Plan to be out on my property with a clear skyline and with ample cold beer.

I live in the 99.5% zone, and I was amazed it didn't get dark.
Just a tiny little sliver of a crescent, and still enough light to go about your business. Amazing.

Well, the eclipse is over for me and, as I thought, it was a bust. Light clouds rolled in at the start allowing me to take area photos comparing the light levels, then as the 93% maximum eclipse approached, the heavy clouds appeared skewing my photo experiment. God had his little joke.
