-They want the government "off the backs" of our citizens, but - They very much want the government ON the backs of half our population (women) when it comes to decisions about abortion.

BTW - Mike Lyndell promised Trump would be reinstated by Thanksgiving. So, when is Donald moving back to DC? 😏

That guy's starting to sound like a real crackhead

When the conversation about rights begins with the premise that men and women are powerless to PREVENT the creation of that inconvenient life, the conversation is impossible. Women screaming about having their "choice" removed, are liars.

Short of rape or incest, they have EVERY RIGHT to "choose". They "choose" to ignore their responsibility and play a kind of creation lottery. When it ends in the creation of an innocent life, they want the ability to snuff that life out and they want that paid for by our taxes. IF Roe is overturned, the states that are majority Democrat will continue on like they always have. The women who'll be affected are those in red states and their "right to choose" will still be there, they'll just have to travel a short while to have that choice.

FWIW, I disagree with the rules that TX has put in place. If women want to end the life of their baby then they should have that right but the state they live in shouldn't have to allow it or pay for it. Problem sorted, eh?

It's so easy to not get pregnant. But the left has been telling people for 60 years that it's okay, they don't have to act responsibly, they can just get an abortion to get rid of the inconvenient clump of cells.

And tens of millions of human beings are dead as the result of the left's destruction of personal responsibility.

It's not just abortion. It's same sex marriage, it's what folks do in their own bedrooms, it's what's on tv, it's what books are in the schools and what the schools teach. And on and on and on.

Republicans don't want smaller government at all. They want a totalitarian dictatorship that believes as they do. Or at least claims to.

Defending the right of completely innocent helpless pre-born human beings to life itself has absolutely nothing to do with a desire to be on the backs of women. 🙄

I understand that since Roe v. Wade, about 63 MILLION pre-born human beings have had their lives extinguished. Someday, down the road, I suspect future generations will look back on our time as kind of a cross between the holocaust and the dark ages. They may wonder: “what kind of ‘people’ accepted such inhuman behavior?”

The same kind of people that arrest male victims of Domestic Violence.

Progressives are people who support greatest injustice existing in USA in 2020s.

Thomas Jefferson was a Progressive in 1776 -- he supported a much much worse Injustice in 1770s. Conservative King planned a special welcome for him in London. Ironically, modern Conservatives want to preserve his legacy.

Not even close to being comparable.

Nobody supports arresting victims.

To the extent that male victims of domestic violence get arrested (which I presume to be a fairly rare occurence), such injustice isn’t widely known or supported. Further, arrests come with a presumption of innocence and the invalid arrests can be rectified we’d hope in court.

Abortion victims get no such consideration and society cannot say “But we didn’t know it was going on.” So your attempt at offering an analogy fails because there is simply no valid analog in it.

Republicans are not anarchists.

Abortion is nothing less than the unjustifiable cold-blooded killing of an innocent human being. One of the most basic and essential functions of government is to protect the rights of human beings not to be murdered, by enacting and enforcing laws against it, and imposing appropriate penalties on those who violate these laws.

To the degree that government fails to protect the most innocent and defenseless of all human beings from those who wish to murder them, government is guilty of severe nonfeasance.
