This is from Morris Cerullo God's Victorious Army Bible Spiritual Warfare Reference Edition II... (I'm not sure, I think he is an evangelist) In the book II Samuel, chapter 11, there's something like a "blues clue" in the margin, and there's a caption on the next page:

Satan's major strategy in luring and seducing us into temptation is to gain access into our minds through the ''eyegate'' and the ''eargate'' ...through what we see and hear.

King David was one of the most powerful men of God in the Bible... ''a man after mine (God's) own heart'' (Acts 13:22) ...a man who had won many great battles. Yet he fell into Satan's trap through temptation and brought destruction upon his household.

Satan's strategy is to catch us off guard and unprepared for his attacks. He will often tempt us after we have experienced a great spiritual victory This was the case with David. He was tempted at a time of prosperity in the kingdom. He was about 50 years old at the time and had been reigning in Jerusalem as king for 12 years. He had subdued his enemies and had returned in great triumph.

At the time appointed for him to go out into battle, David ''tarried'' in Jerusalem. Instead of going with his army into battle, he sent Joab, his servants and all of Israel out into battle, while he remained in Jerusalem. David had fought and won many great battles, and he decided it was time to let down his guard and relax.

In our spiritual warfare against Satan, there is no time for us to relax or let down our guard!

The moment we begin to relax ...to let down in our prayer time, stop reading the Word, stop watching for Satan's strategies... Satan will seize the opportunity to attack us. This is exactly what happened to David.

He faced Satan, the Tempter, when he went up to his rooftop and ''he SAW a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.'' Satan gained entrance into David's mind through the ''eyegate''...what he SAW with his eyes.

Satan placed a temptation in front of David that aroused a desire within him. As David continued to LOOK upon the woman, he desired to have her for himself. Satan deceived and enticed David by making him think that the pleasure and satisfaction he would receive from this illicit affair would be greater than it actually was. And it was there on the rooftop where David actually committed the sin of adultery IN HIS MIND AND HEART. This sin was later manifested in his actions when he sent for Bathsheba (II Samuel 11:3-4).

Today, there are Christians falling into temptation, living defeated lives, in bondage to the desires and lusts of their flesh because they have GIVEN Satan access into their minds through the ''eyegate'' and ''eargate''.

Satan's strategy is to fill the minds of Christians so full of temptation that the desires of their carnal flesh will be aroused until it is manifested in their actions ...until they yield their will to the lusts of the flesh and sin against God.

Remember, Satan is limited in the temptations he places before you. God will not allow him to tempt you above what you are able to bear (I Corinthians 10:13). Not only does God limit the temptations Satan places before you, but with every temptation He has promised a way out that you will be strong, powerful and patiently able to bear up under it.

God's purpose for allowing Satan to tempt and test you is that you will be PERFECTLY AND FULLY DEVELOPED... lacking in nothing! (James 1:2-4)

Your attitude as you are being tested, tempted and tried by Satan should not be one of failure or defeat, but one of victory. KNOWING that God has provided a way of escape ...given you the powerful weapons of warfare... anointed you with the power of the Holy Spirit and given you power over all the power of the enemy, you must move into ACTION ...you must RESIST the enemy.

(To continue this topic, please see James 1:12-15).

That's some Jesus fire there, folks.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Temptation enters in through the lust of the flesh (Adam tasted the fruit), the lust of the eyes (the fruit seemed good to eat), and the pride of life (the lie that you shall become like God).

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (lust of the flesh), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (lust of the eyes), and a tree to be desired to make one wise (pride of life or excellency), she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

There are really two types of women in the Bible talked about in proverbs. Wisdom and Folly. May we be wise.

So, what kind of lusts has he placed in your way lately?

We know who you are, we know your name, where you live, we have your number.

those scribes can concoct quite a story -

to bad they revel themselves so poorly as to believe the accomplishment of the Almighty was not to destroy Satan as was done but rather to allow its use against the deities own creation, their interpretation will be their own Apocalypse.

sin not is all that is required.

So does the NSA.

That could be a big issue in the elections, too. I saw something of 60 Minutes, and they showed the NSA and they showed the great spider web thing on the screen. It was smart, such a fine line between invading someone's privacy and protecting it, impressive.

There are all these scandals where the media reports use the suffix "-gate" to make the name of the scandal, probably comes from the Watergate scandal. So, when I saw that a preacher makes a Bible with comments about Eyegate, it makes a depth of understanding about it.

That is appreciation, not accusation.
