Let's be clear............for the hundredth time. Trump is being criticized for his admin's lack of a response to the warnings about the virus he began to receive in January.

As noted in an op-ed previously mentioned by another poster on a different thread, this was the most predictable disaster in history.

Even though China suppressed the full truth we knew what was going on there in time to prepare the US for what was to come. Trump failed to prepare us. Instead, he spent the months of Jan. and Feb. downplaying the inevitable. Got it?

Trump's painfully slow, ineffective response to warnings.........and the actual outbreak...........of the virus was motivated by not wanting to disrupt the economy. The effect of the failed response has been to do more damage to the economy as half-assed, delayed measures to control it facilitated the virus' spread.
