For 2 years, and particularly the last several months of this election, I have heard some of the more left wing posters here make statement after statement that the right simply could not win national elections, the changing demographics will destroy the party, there may never be another republican president again etc etc.
Well, the republicans essentially swept this election. Still have the house, still have the senate and also the presidency. Clearly that was utter bullshit. Perhaps now we can all recognize that neither party is going anywhere anytime soon.
