Surely these must be signs that the End of Days is near: the Yankees are 14.5 games out of first place in their division and it is not even the end of May, the evil Yankee doppelganger Red Sox are in first place, and the steroid drenched Barry Bonds may soon break the Babe’s HR record. Can the apocalypse be far away? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/standings
 
I hate the Crankees and am thoroughly enjoying their plight.

I am very disappointed in my Cardinals, however. Then again, they won the WS last year so I should be good for another decade or two.
As of yesterday, the Red Birds had a worse record than the Bombers. The only reason they are just 6.5 games back is that the Mets are in a different division.
