Look closely... It's interesting that those who have had near death experiences see relatives and recognize them with spirit bodies. My assumption is that they have the same features as their Heavenly Parents being glorified resurrected humans themselves. Their offspring will have similar traits except the physical body for some unknown reason. Glorified goddesses have spirit children. And, lots of them...
John 3:13, "No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, even the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) which is in heaven." So, Jesus descended in spirit form and ascended once resurrected in a glorified human form. He set the pattern. There were others after he was resurrected that were also resurrected. And, by the promised grace of God, all of our bodies will rise again. Isaiah 26:19. We must have then also descended from a more exalted sphere where our Heavenly Parents reside for us to be able to ascend in our resurrection. Until that appointed time, we go to spirit prison in Heaven to await our judgment to which type of body we will receive and where we will reside in Heaven. 1Corinthians chapter 15.
Spirit Prison is just called that because we no longer are connected to our physical bodies and not able to progress until we receive the resurrection. There are two places in Spirit Prison. Paradise and Hell. The good people go to Paradise who have repented and the rest wait in Hell to be taught the Gospel and receive their ordinances or keys to unlock their situation. 1Peter 3:19-22.
