The Derek Chauvin Trial Thread

Derek Chauvin ultimately is not going to testify which is understandable. Really curious if Eric Nelson was kind of hoping Derek would decide to testify. But as Eric alluded to, the prosecution was probably prepared to bring up all kinds of irrelevant crap to try to smear him.

As badly as the prosecution got owned, Chauvin doesn’t have to testify. The evidence says not guilty plain as day. Though I could see a hung jury as well. Owning solely to the fear jurors may have of being doxxed.

Convicted of what? Being a participant in restraining a mentally ill crook who croaked of a Speedball overdose while resisting arrest for passing counterfeit money? :dunno: It is kind of sad one of his purchases with the fake cash he was attempting while he was sucking on a Speedball was a banana. :heehee:

The fact he isn't going to testify means even he knows he's guilty.

As Eric Nelson explained around 1:50 in the above video, the prosecution who have shown they will try every trick in the book, would have "broad latitude" to ask questions outside of the scope of Cry Baby Floyd's most recent overdose. So undoubtedly they dug up someone to smear him such as a claim Derek said the n-word at some point in history. It would be interesting to have Eric and Derek give insight into the discussions after the acquittal. Eric knows he destroyed the prosecution's case, but I think he was hoping Derek pick up game as far as witness "judo," which is one reason I think Derek was taking notes during all witness testimonies. The judge did a great job in this trial though. Would a judge hand a wireless microphone to someone he thought was a murderer?

Derek is guilty of following generally accepted police procedure with a possible PCP perp.

I am surprised this thread does not get more posts. I think the closing arguments will commence in hours. The verdict is going be as monumental as the 2020 election. If Derek is found guilty, that is the equivalent of Sleepy Joe winning the election.

Quasar, if a violent, mentally ill person having an overdose result in the death of that person by simply restraining that person, every cop should resign immediately.

Angelo, no rational, intelligent person voted for Sleepy Joe. Plus there was all kinds of questionable ballot counting issues, particularly in Black areas. Same thing in this case. Most rational, intelligent people realize Derek was simply doing his job.

The closing argument(s) of the prosecution was essentially a defense of Cry Baby Floyd since Derek Chauvin did nothing to cause the health issues Cry Baby Floyd succumbed to. If for some strange reason (such as watching fake news and the alternate reality they present) the jury does not find Derek not guilty, that means every in encounter a cop has with a subject, that cop is responsible for the health of the subject during the interaction which means cops will no longer bother enforcing the law, too risky.

It's funny listening to you trying to defend what can't be defended. You sound like a fish out of water just flopping all over the place. You want people to not believe their eyes, they are basically playing tricks on us.
