The democrats of today are the Russians of yesterday before the revolution, they will end up the same way.

I heard about this column from Andrew Klavan on his podcast at the dailywire...... The author goes through the "liberal" Russians and how they supported and excused the terrorism and violence of the communists in the 17 years before the Communist take over of Russia.....they all ended up in mass graves......

If you read this...you will see the democrat party of today in those foolish people in Russia's past...

Between 1900 and 1917, waves of unprecedented terror struck Russia. Several parties professing incompatible ideologies competed (and cooperated) in causing havoc. Between 1905 and 1907, nearly 4,500 government officials and about as many private individuals were killed or injured. Between 1908 and 1910, authorities recorded 19,957 terrorist acts and revolutionary robberies, doubtless omitting many from remote areas. As the foremost historian of Russian terrorism, Anna Geifman, observes, “Robbery, extortion, and murder became more common than traffic accidents.”
------

How did educated, liberal society respond to such terrorism? What was the position of the Constitutional Democratic (Kadet) Party and its deputies in the Duma (the parliament set up in 1905)? Though Kadets advocated democratic, constitutional procedures, and did not themselves engage in terrorism, they aided the terrorists in any way they could. Kadets collected money for terrorists, turned their homes into safe houses, and called for total amnesty for arrested terrorists who pledged to continue the mayhem. Kadet Party central committee member N. N. Shchepkin declared that the party did not regard terrorists as criminals at all, but as saints and martyrs. The official Kadet paper, Herald of the Party of People’s Freedom, never published an article condemning political assassination. The party leader, Paul Milyukov, declared that “all means are now legitimate . . . and all means should be tried.” When asked to condemn terrorism, another liberal leader in the Duma, Ivan Petrunkevich, famously replied: “Condemn terror? That would be the moral death of the party!”

Not just lawyers, teachers, doctors, and engineers, but even industrialists and bank directors raised money for the terrorists. Doing so signaled advanced opinion and good manners.

A quote attributed to Lenin—“When we are ready to kill the capitalists, they will sell us the rope”—would have been more accurately rendered as: “They will buy us the rope and hire us to use it on them.”

True to their word, when the Bolsheviks gained control, their organ of terror, the Cheka, “liquidated” members of all opposing parties, beginning with the Kadets. Why didn’t the liberals and businessmen see it coming?

Makes you wonder this.......

That question has bothered many students of revolutionary movements. Revolutions never succeed without the support of wealthy, liberal, educated society. Yet revolutionaries seldom conceal that their success entails the seizure of all wealth, the suppression of dissenting opinion, and the murder of class enemies.

Always an idiot has to chime in, that what Progressives are doing, are the fault of Classical Liberals. That is how fucking stupid the progs are.

No, they're not. Don't be stupid. Communism is a leftist ideology.

The Duma in 1905 was powerless because of the power of the Tsar.

Initiated as a result of the 1905 revolution, the Duma was established by Tsar Nicholas II in his October Manifesto (October 30, 1905), which promised that it would be a representative assembly and that its approval would be necessary for the enactment of legislation. But the Fundamental Laws, issued in April 1906, before the First Duma met (May 1906), deprived it of control over state ministers and portions of the state budget and limited its ability to initiate legislation effectively.
Four Dumas met (May 10–July 21, 1906; March 5–June 16, 1907; November 14, 1907–June 22, 1912; and November 28, 1912–March 11, 1917). They rarely enjoyed the confidence or the cooperation of the ministers or the emperor, who retained the right to rule by decree when the Duma was not in session. The first two Dumas were elected indirectly (except in five large cities) by a system that gave undue representation to the peasantry, which the government expected to be conservative. The Dumas were, nevertheless, dominated by liberal and socialist opposition groups that demanded extensive reforms. Both Dumas were quickly dissolved by the tsar.
In 1907, by a virtual coup d’état, Prime Minister Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin restricted the franchise to reduce the representation of radical and national minority groups. The Third Duma, elected on that basis, was conservative. It generally supported the government’s agrarian reforms and military reorganization; and, although it criticized bureaucratic abuses and government advisers, it survived its full five-year term.

You are such an idiot, and this proves it. What is being said is that the Progs(regressives) once they achieve their goal of complete and total, power dont stop there but start liquidating the population to make it easier to control. The voting base of the progs(stupid people) are the first to go, because they have nothing to contribute to society while the people who can produce stuff, get to live on, in their gulags and work farms.

Sounds like a warning that when the government ignores the grievances of the people and the people don't feel the government represents them the outcome is disastrous. Certainly didn't work out well for the Tsar and his privileged friends. If I was a Republican I'd be worried.

The progs have been very patient up until now, that they have seen this President reverse all the Socialist destruction, the likes of Nan from San Fransicko and Chuck E, Shmuzer have done to this nation. That is why the left has been out there rioting, burning and looting minority businesses, and harming innocent people, who just wanted to live their lives peacefully. The shit always repeats itself because dumbasses like you dont study history....

The democrat party controlled cities are being looted, burned, and destroyed by joe biden voters, not by Trump voters......joe biden voters are also beating and murdering people...Trump supporters are not hurting people.....

Again...the actions of the democrat party today are becoming more and more like the actions of the "Kadets," mentioned in the article.....supporting terrorism and murder and attacking Constitutional, legal traditions.........

Trump supporters are not hurting people.....
Except for:
  • Kenosha shooter, Kyle Rittenhouse
  • Jake Gardner, the Nebraska bar owner accused of manslaughter in the May 30 shooting death of a Black Lives Matter protester
  • Dylann Storm Roof is an American white supremacist and mass murderer convicted for perpetrating the Charleston church shooting on June 17, 2015, in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
  • On August 3, 2019, a mass shooting occurred at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, United States. A gunman shot and killed 23 people and injured 23 others. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting as an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime. Patrick Crusius, a 21-year-old from Allen, Texas, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with capital murder.
According to the FBI:
During the past decade we have witnessed dramatic changes in the nature of the terrorist threat. In the 1990s, right-wing extremism overtook left-wing terrorism as the most dangerous domestic terrorist threat to the country.

"self defense"???? If you ever wonder why there is so much support for gun control, you're a poster boy for it. A minor goes to another state, with this gun in hand, and heads for a group of protesters. The only people shot that day were shot by him. It's like killing your parents and then asking for mercy because you're an orphan.

I heard about this column from Andrew Klavan on his podcast at the dailywire...... The author goes through the "liberal" Russians and how they supported and excused the terrorism and violence of the communists in the 17 years before the Communist take over of Russia.....they all ended up in mass graves......

Wow, so you are as ignorant of Russian History as you are of American History.
