I know what your TDS addled mind is getting at. The steel and aluminum tariffs are necessary for national security reasons. Our major military equipment is primarily made from aluminum and steel. Those tariffs were desperately needed to encourage an increase of domestic manufacturing capacity for those materials because being so dependent on overseas sources puts our military in a very precarious position.

The living wage jobs that policy decision created are simply an added bonus. I know 3 kids who got their first living wage jobs at North Star Steel.

And the tariffs had no significant effect on overall inflation. So your argument is a non-starter.
