The "Democratic Arab Spring" Republicans imagined was always destined to fail.

First, let's make it clear, we never should have been involved in the Middle East to begin with. If we had used those same trillions of dollars on developing American energy, whether it's nuclear or oil, or green or whatever, forget climate change. Because burning American oil or Middle Eastern oil is the "same". The point is, with those same trillions that have been renamed "debt", we could be energy independent. Thanks George.

We could ask why we didn't pull back from the Middle East, but some things literally don't need to be spelled out. One picture is worth a thousand words.

Republicans imagined that if we could bring democracy to one country, it would have a "domino effect" and every country would "want one". Sidebar: Funny, since they have worked tirelessly to bring down the duly elected president and have worked to destroy this government for the last 20 years and use that as part of their campaign strategy. Makes what they did in the Middle East very "odd" to say the least.

If they had been "smart" and still insisted of going into the Middle East, they could have done what Obama is so obviously successful at. Use covert operations, drones, intelligence reporting. Obama may have bombed the shit out of Libya, but Moammar is gone and we don't have troops stationed in Libya.

Right wingers scream, "But you don't know who you supported". Well look who they supported. The new leaders of Iraq sees Iran as their "close friend" and they put Kasai in power in Afghanistan and they supported a constitution that makes the female half of the populations "slaves". They say, "Well, why don't Obama just take them out". Because we can't. Obama is making the best of a situation so fucked up, we just can't get out of it as "instantly" as Republicans got us into it. Just they fact that they say, "Well, walk away" proves why they can't govern. The ignorance is "over whelming".

So yea, Republicans did start a "domino effect", but does any sane person think that those countries who have never been Democratic and have always been hard right extreme uber religious would become democratic? There was never a chance that any of them would become democratic, never! Some Democrats have been saying that for the last 10 years. Because they bothered to read a history book that hasn't been "rewritten" by Republicans.

Republicans ---->> You are with us or with the terrorists. You gotta wonder, which one has caused more damage to this country?

So if you are going to pursue a "failed" policy, at least make it as less damaging as possible. That's what Obama has done.

Sadistic dictators have been removed from two Middle Easter countries. Removing one cost 4,000 American lives, maimed 32,000 Americans, a trillion dollars in immediate cost, possible two more trillion in medical costs from thousands of Americans with brain and spinal injuries, a depleted military and the creation of a new enemy who makes the enemies we already had stronger. Hell, even China ended up getting the oil. If that was the Republican plan, then it succeeded.

Removing the other cost some missiles and was led by our allies. That was Obama's plan. The end result was the same. How we got there was way, way different.

If Republicans get back the Senate and the Presidency, who will they "liberate" next?

I wish the FEDS would declare war on the people of the USA.

We need some serious nation-building efforts here.
