Not only did Al Gore's father lead the fight to deny blacks their Civil Rights,, but the Mentor of today's leader of the Democrat party was one of those racists who tried to deny blacks equal rights.

How is it that the DEMOCRAT party can elect a KKK Leader to the Senate until he died in 2010, AND have two of their Presidential candidates in this century closely tied to the attempt to deny blacks their civil rights?

trying to conflate the Dem party of today with the Dixiecrats of 1965 and before is stupid and dishonest.

Those Dixiecrats are now solidly Republicans
I always get a kick out of this excuse for your party's blatant and longstanding racism.

And I always love asking for this list of these politicians in DC who switched parties.

GO!

Say, what ever happened to those Southern States after the Northern Democrats bargained with the Northern Republicans to force them to treat their Negros like human beings? Not the southern politicians who all voted against it, they weren't the traitors to the south, but the States government and eventually the seats in the Federal Government that were traditionally Democrat strongholds?

Reliably red, till now!

Bullshit. Republicans of that era never changed parties, nor did the Democrats.

Besides, blacks started voting in majority for Democrats back in the 1930’s, when the Dems were the Party of the KKK and brought back its resurgence. Blacks didn’t start voting for Dems in the 1960’s over civil rights, they started voting for them in the 1930’s when the Democrats promised them welfare.

Only in the asylum of the D-istrict of C-orruption can this happen!

Because things change.

And because two parties vying for more than 50% of the voters is a ridiculous situation.

Proportional Representation would allow for far more viable parties, for individuals to vote for lots of policies they want, rather than a few shiny pointless policies with the rest being the rich controlling everything while the rest bitch and slap and throw insults at each other.

In spite of the filibuster, more Democrats voted in support of CVA than against.

Then you oppose the GOP and their cutting back on the Civil Rights Act, yes?

On January 27, Trump signed an executive order – the first version of his Muslim travel ban – that discriminated against Muslims and banned refugees. On January 31, under new Chairman Ajit Pai’s leadership, the Federal Communications Commission refused to defend critical components of its prison phone rate rules in federal court – rules that were ultimately struck down in June. On February 3, Trump signed an executive order outlining principles for regulating the U.S. financial system and calling for a 120-day review of existing laws, like the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The order was viewed as Trump’s opening attack on consumer protection laws. On February 3, the FCC rescinded its 2014 Joint Sales Agreement (JSA) guidance, which had led to the only increase in television diversity in recent years. On February 3, FCC Chairman Pai revoked the Lifeline Broadband Provider (LBP) designations for nine broadband service providers, reducing the number of prov...

Mar 12, 2021 · Indeed, as Democrat Lyndon Johnson pushed through the Voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s, the arms he had to twist most were those of Southern Democrats, not Republicans. But within four years, that alignment began flipping on its head, as GOP nominee Richard Nixon actively wooed disaffected Democrats to win in 1968.

Pedo Joe has been given 4 Pinochios for his lies about the Georgia law, Halfwit.

trying to conflate the Dem party of today with the Dixiecrats of 1965 and before is stupid and dishonest.

Those Dixiecrats are now solidly Republicans
there was no Dixiecrats in 1965.....the Dixiecrats were created in 1948 by some dems, to run against Truman, they dissolved that same year, and where welcomed back in the party by 1952...with open arms...the Dems even nominated one of them as VP
