We’ve already commented on the report in post #18 on the Biological Politics thread. The lab scenario is false. The viral sequences do not show manipulation for increased affinity to Homo sapiens tissue, as was pointed out in two USMB threads, one on 27 Feb 2020 and the other on 24 Mar 2020. Its biological weaponry came directly from evolution in nature, and the Chinese communists know what the natural host is: a breathing ACE2-carrying animal.

Horseshoe bat, Rhinolophus affinis, is reservoir to the closest virus relative of COVID-19.

We need vaccines because the WHO and China caused the Covid-19 pandemic.

2. Trump wanted to avoid a panic and keep the economy afloat. That was the decision that governors faced, do you shutdown the state or keep people working. Cuomo admitted he was wrong and is now opening the state. It is not an easy decision. The vaccine is the only cure, you're welcome.

who said "Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission"...
which is what chinese authorities said...
so they literally translated what chinese said at the time... :)

trump was only worried about his own image and didnt even have the skills as a leader to calculate the odds and risks to do anything before it was too late...
and he caused a massive hysteria among his people and ended up having to shut down the whole economy as a result of his incompetence...

you can rewrite history as you like but cant change the facts...
because it is all out there...

I like the way you write partisan fiction without any links backing up your prose.

hence why you tried to fix your mistake with some parenthesis...

Trump wanted to avoid a panic and keep the economy afloat.

oh boy, keeping it afloat he did, barely... :)

he did totally the opposite of what a true leader was supposed to do...
he literally lied about a deadly airborne virus...

thats the whole reason why the whole market freaked out and the whole economy did take a dive when people figured out what a clueless clown was running the show...

a clown hoping for a burn out...
with no other plans whatsoever...

the best part was when he was hoping the big pharma boys could make a vaccine in couple weeks, back in may, when he figured nothing was burning out... :)
was funny to watch him figuring out how royally he screwed this one up, right on that table... :D

but not funny to watch the wreck he left behind for sure... :(

You type a lot of words, but none are fact based.
1. Covid-19 came from China
2. Before the Covid-19 pandemic the US economy was the best it had ever been, with 3% unemployment
3. Trump got the vaccines in record time to resolve the pandemic.
4. If you want to see what democrats would have done, look at NY & CA
5. You're welcome.

Just an FYI, that the Coviid-19 vaccine rollout is working as planned, just a little behind schedule with jabs.
The most vulnerable are being vaccinated first, and the daily infections and deaths are heading down, well before any Biden appointees can screw things up.
Thanks to the Trump admin for getting the vaccines developed, manufactured, and distributed in record time.
You're welcome America.

The ONLY thing Trump did was to give the vaccine developers money. Something that every other first world government did. And we got our vaccines before the USA Did because Trump even screwed THAT up.

Distribution isn’t complete until the vaccine is in arms. And Trump refused to give the states money to buy the syringes or hire the staff and set up vaccination centres to do that. Major cities are now running out of vaccine. As with everything Trump has done in the pandemic, it’s chaos and there’s no plan at all.

Just having a national strategy and a consistent message will make things better. Unfortunately, there is no real way now to get the epidemic under control without mass vaccination.

Meanwhile, the US military has had over 200,000 cases, and only 218 deaths. So much for the idea that universal health care coverage and socialized medicine doesn’t work.

Just an FYI, that the Coviid-19 vaccine rollout is working as planned, just a little behind schedule with jabs.
The sad, documented reality is that Trump, having dismissed the threat from the coronavirus about which public health professionals had sounded an ominous warning, falsely insisting that he had it "under control!" with his fake assertion that "Everybody's getting better!", has led the nation to #1 status worldwide in confirmed cases and deaths.

As the numbers soared in his final days, his self-adsorbed obsession with contriving a scheme to thwart democracy and cling to power resulted in his impotence in providing leadership in the crisis. He retreated into his grievance-filled personal snit and barely acknowledged the growing tragedy.

For the sake of America, let us hope Biden's commitment is a harbinger of better things to come at an accelerated rate.

On first full day, Biden takes on the Pandemic
1. Trump shutdown the US economy when the healthcare professionals recommended it.
2. The "healthcare professionals" lied about masks.
3. The WHO and China lied about Covid-19 transmissability
4. Criticizing Trump without showing any error is what we call TDS.
Trump wanted to avoid a panic and keep the economy afloat. That was the decision that governors faced, do you shutdown the state or keep people working. Cuomo admitted he was wrong and is now opening the state. It is not an easy decision. The vaccine is the only cure, you're welcome.
5. To compare equal populations you would need to add up the infections for the entire EU to compare with the US.
6. The numbers are NOT soaring in Trump's final days. Look at the OP again. You're welcome.
7. If you think that Joe Xiden will help the US prosper, just look at the thousands of workers laid off from the Keystone XL pipeline. Joe would rather buy that ME oil, duh
Trump's record in leading the U.S. to #1 among all nations in confirmed cases and deaths, his numerous fake statements concerning the pandemic, as well as his conspicuous diversion from the crisis as it raged in his final days of self-pity and desperation cannot be expunged even by his most fanatical worshippers.

The roll out has been a disaster and the vaccine was developed by Pfizer and Moderna not Trump and the federal government
1. Prove that the rollout has been a disaster, you can't the numbers show success. The pandemic is receding, see the OP again.
2. The Trump admin expedited the vaccine development, testing, and manufacturing, It normally takes years to produce a vaccine. It took 8-months for the covid-19 vaccine. You're welcome.

The poll is moot, Trump failed to address the pandemic, it's one of many reasons why Trump was voted out of office.

If you want to see what Democrats would have done, look at Canada. We followed the scientists which is what the Democrats are now doing.

We have similar death rates based on resolved cases, but we have 725,000 cases versus 25,000,000 in the USA. You have 75,000 cases per million of population versus 19,000 in Canada. Our 18,000 deaths, while horrific, 487 deaths per million 1252 in the USA.

Our numbers would not be anywhere near this high if not for Canadian snowbirds bringing the crud home from Florida last spring.

The rest of the first world got the same “lies” and misinformation from the WHO that Trump received. They made their decisions to tell their people the truth and to listen to the scientists and none of these countries have the same level of death disease or economic devastation that the United States has. None of their peoples panicked. All of them listen to the government and shut down the virus.

Your assertions that what Trump did prevented panic or saved lives are completely unsupportable based on the outcome.

If Trump had listen to the scientists, followed their advice, and shut the virus down the way Canadians did he would’ve won reelection easily. If Trudeau were to run for reelection tomorrow he would win in a landslide because of his response to the coronavirus.

Do a good job and people will re-elect you. It’s not rocket science. Donald Trump isn’t that smart.

You're forgetting a few factoids.
1. Here in the US there are 50 governors that manage their states. From NY where Cuomo killed thousands in nursing homes, to CA, to ND, to FL and everywhere in-between. Every state has it own challenges. From crowded big cities, to meat packing plants, to hospitality, to restaurants and gyms. No two states handled the pandemic the same way. Some stayed open, some stayed closed, and most were somewhere in-between. The final answer appears to be stay open but work safely.
2. Trump's job was to get the vaccines out ASAP, and he did that. The vaccine was out in record time. Trump did his job.
3. Is the Canadian press 95% negative on Trudeau the way the MSM is on Trump? No they are not.
4. I'm glad Canada handled the pandemic successfully. However, the price to pay was a severe recession, which the US avoided. We'll see how fast the Canadian economy recovers. The US economy already recovered after a very brief dip. Canada is still in recession.

December 29, 2020
Trump promised to have 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine prepared by the end of 2020, but only 2.1 million doses have been administered thus far.

Trump fanatics, desperate to distort their God Emperor's failure to provide leadership in confronting the pandemic, not only can't honestly confront his documented impotence, most actually reject the vaccine they try to credit him with developing:
Less than 40 percent of Trump voters want the coronavirus vaccine

Trump fanatics, desperate to distort their God Emperor's failure to provide leadership in confronting the pandemic, not only can't honestly confront his documented impotence, most actually reject the vaccine they try to credit him with developing:
Less than 40 percent of Trump voters want the coronavirus vaccine
1. There is no link to Trump's promising 100m doses of vaccine by the end of 2020 in the MSN article. That's a lie. Back in May Trump's goal was 100m doses, not a "promise".
So you are are garden variety liar like the rest of the TDS hacks.

“The president said that the timelines that the drug companies were laying out was unacceptable that we needed to move faster,” Azar told a group of reporters including Breitbart News at the White House in a meeting with the coronavirus task force.
Azar noted President Donald Trump’s goal was 100 million doses of a vaccine available by the fall and 300 million doses by January.
“There are no guarantees, this is drug development,” he said, noting the push to get the vaccine ready in just seven months was ambitious.

Your 2nd paragraph makes no sense considering the OP I put up.
The vaccines are working, the infections and deaths are dropping.
No thanks to democrats with TDS. You're welcome.

Despite drsperate attempts at radical revisionism by diehard Trump fanatics, his record cannot be expunged. It is too well-documented, and there are too many eyewitnesses.

Throughout late summer and fall, in the heat of a re-election campaign that he would go on to lose, and in the face of mounting evidence of a surge in infections and deaths far worse than in the spring, Mr. Trump’s management of the crisisunsteady, unscientific and colored by politics all year — was in effect reduced to a single question: What would it mean for him? The result, according to interviews with more than two dozen current and former administration officials and others in contact with the White House, was a lose-lose situation. Mr. Trump not only ended up soundly defeated by Joseph R. Biden Jr., but missed his chance to show that he could rise to the moment in the final chapter of his presidency and meet the defining challenge of his tenure.
Efforts by his aides to persuade him to promote mask wearing, among the simplest and most effective ways to curb the spread of the disease, were derailed by his conviction that his political base would rebel against anything that would smack of limiting their personal freedom. Even his own campaign’s polling data to the contrary could not sway him...
Dr. Scott W. Atlas, the Stanford professor of neuroradiology recruited after appearances on Fox News... became the sole doctor Mr. Trump listened to. His theories, some of which scientists viewed as bordering on the crackpot, were exactly what the president wanted to hear: The virus is overblown, the number of deaths is exaggerated, testing is overrated, lockdowns do more harm than good.
As the gap between politics and science grew, the infighting that Mr. Trump had allowed to plague the administration’s response from the beginning only intensified. Threats of firings worsened the leadership vacuum as key figures undercut each other and distanced themselves from responsibility.
The administration had some positive stories to tell. Mr. Trump’s vaccine development program, Operation Warp Speed, had helped drive the pharmaceutical industry’s remarkably fast progress in developing several promising approaches. By the end of the year, two highly effective vaccines would be approved for emergency use, providing hope for 2021.
The White House rejected any suggestions that the president’s response had fallen short, saying he had worked to provide adequate testing, protective equipment and hospital capacity and that the vaccine development program had succeeded in record time.
Mr. Trump’s unwillingness to put aside his political self-centeredness as Americans died by the thousands each day or to embrace the steps necessary to deal with the crisis remains confounding even to some administration officials. “Making masks a culture war issue was the dumbest thing imaginable,” one former senior adviser said.
His own bout with Covid-19 in early October left him extremely ill and dependent on care and drugs not available to most Americans, including a still-experimental monoclonal antibody treatment, and he saw firsthand how the disease coursed through the White House and some of his close allies.
Yet his instinct was to treat that experience not as a learning moment or an opportunity for empathy, but as a chance to portray himself as a Superman who had vanquished the disease. His own experience to the contrary, he assured a crowd at the White House just a week after his hospitalization, “It’s going to disappear; it is disappearing!”
In fact, in stark contrast to Trump's vapid happy talk, as Trump squandered his last days in office brooding, inciting insurrection, and wallowing in self-pity, Americans were still suffering and dying at an horrific rate. That, his legacy, continues.
