So I've been meaning to post this thread for the past couple of days but this message board was being a problem for me for some strange reason beyond the realm of my understanding.
I've been staying busy these past couple of days though and watching The Chosen and I'm currently in the second season. I honestly don't get why there's such controversy about it? Is it one hundred percent perfect and biblically accurate?
No, but it's a TV show and it's in no way shape or form trying to claim that it's scripture and I don't see anything that is sinful about it. I also love the fact that they gave Jesus emotions and presented Him as fully human as well as fully God. As I've never seen Jesus in that way before.
This scene from the new season has also been getting a lot of heat and I don't know why. If Jesus prayed that there was a way to avoid suffering and dying on the cross and still save us from our sins, why couldn't Jesus have prayed that Judas would get a chance of heart and not betray Him? It's highly plausible in my book.
I personally believe that this scene is beautiful. Judas is both looking and sounding like a mad man and Christ is just so loving, patient, and understanding with him and heartbroken that His friend did this to Him. I just want to give Him a hug here. (Oh and I know about the pride flag thing but as far as I'm aware that actually wasn't in the show.)
