There are a lot of misconceptions. That is the Chinese Communist Party.
The threat is corporate and industrial espionage and sabotage of American industry.
The threat is real, I don't doubt that, but active spying and statecraft on behalf of the Chinese government itself are limited. The corporations and labor unions in China are simply too powerful in comparison to the government for official statecraft to be too much of a concern.
There is too much unofficial policing and corporate Schutzstaffel, not directly attributable to China's official government.
