During the American Revolution, the Islamic pirates attacked American ships, captured and beheaded hostages, and demanded ransom for their terrorist criminal activities, because they believed their "religion" sanctioned it.

Ring a bell, anyone?

In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli's envoy, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). When they enquired "concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury", the ambassador replied:

"It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once."

Jefferson reported the conversation to Secretary of Foreign Affairs John Jay, who submitted the Ambassador's comments and offer to Congress. Jefferson argued that paying tribute would encourage more attacks.

I have the book. It's an interesting read. National Best Seller - The Pirate Coast Thomas Jefferson, the First Marines, and the secret mission of 1805. By Richard Zacks. But here is where Jefferson dropped the ball. Jefferson made the decision to overthrow the government of Tripoli. The operation leader, William Eaton, led a mercenary army on a march across the Sahara desert to ambush the enemy. They were backed by the US Navy and obtained victory - capturing the Muslim nation's 3rd largest city. Eaton who was a hero was ready to move on when he was told Jefferson had no desire to continue. Had Eaton finished the job it would be the equivalent of what would perhaps have been a change in where we are today - had Patton been - permitted to go in and finish off the Russians while he could (WWII time) we'd be better off now - but because he was told to stand down? (And later murdered) We've got Putin poised to do a nuclear strike on America in the future - and the communists in Nicaragua and Cuba to back him. Not to mention the Arab sleeper cells inside the USA and over 2 dozen jihadist camps run by a radical from Pakistan - Gelhani. Putin already has bases being set up on their land to refuel and have a closer base to work off of. The Russians won't lead the Islamic nations against Israel until they have put America down.

So they took one Muslim off the throne and gave it back to the Muslims brother who had been in exile , fighting with hired Arab Muslims they called hired mercenaries.

and we are to believe all Muslims and Arabs are bad. OK. Also following the links lead to nowhere and its just too today, and they said the exact words could not be verified(I'm talking about the quote).

No doubt there were pirates on the Sea, that is well known.

I prefer the Gangrene of Islam...

More of a virus in my book.
Or a bacteria...

Certainly behaves like a disease. The story with Islamic behavior keeps repeating itself, regardless of how far back in time you go. It's always the same shit with them: "our religion sanctions it". Jefferson at least wasn't afraid to call the enemy what it was, unlike the idiot we have in office now, who's afraid to even call ISIS Islamic.

Important point is that Muslims were terrorizing commercial, private, and military ships that were traveling in international waters, just like ISIS and Alqueda are terrorizing innocent people, all in the name of Islam.

War wasn't declared in the name of Islam, war was declared because Tunisia wanted nice shiny boats like the US had given Algeria.

The Marine Corps Hymn reference to the "shores of Tripoli" indicates the US war against the Muslem jihad as early as 1805. The modern Islamic craziness emerged from the creation of the nation of Israel in the 40's. LBJ and Nixon were tied up with a communist funded war in Southeast Asia. Jimmie Carter was busy pardoning traitors and God know's what. Reagan turned tail and ran after the jihad Marine barracks bombing and George H. Bush didn't seem to have a clue. The jihad failed in it's first attack on the World Trade Center but they found out that the president didn't give a damn. Clinton called the first attack on the WTC "a stupid act by stupid people" and went back to sodomy episodes in the Oval Office. The 9-11 terrorists (some of them illegally in the US) were attending flight school in the U.S. while Clinton was bombing a defenseless country in Europe.

So let me get this straight.

Were Muslims attacking ships off the coast of South Carolina, or were they attacking them off the cost of Tripoli.

Yes, our policy of sticking our dicks into a hornet's nest and complaining about getting stung does go back a long time.

So war was declared because Muslim animals believed Allah gave them a right to terrorize the early Americans until they got what the Algerians got? You keep saying Islam had nothing to do with t, but its the Pirates themselves who kept telling Americans that they did it because islam allowed them to do it. So let's not believe Muslims who say they do things in the name of Islam? :cuckoo:

At the same time the Barbary pirates were taking a few ships that were in their waters, Europeans were sending millions of Africans into slavery in the Americas, were half of them died in route.

But Christianity had nothing to do with that.

Nor with the slaughter of Native Americans and Australians who happened to be holding what the Christians wanted.

So to review. If you are a Christian or a Jew and you do something bad, in Roudy-World, it's not a reflection on your religion.

If you are a Muslim and you do something bad, it's becuase you are part of the Great Muslim-Borg Hive Mind being controlled by Mohammed's evil teachings.

Well, funny, that. The British were seizing American vessels about the same time and pressing Americans into service on their ships. And yes, we eventualy used that as the excuse for the War of 1812. (Unlike those Barbary Pirate, thought, the British could fight back.)

Oddly, you won't see a douchebag like Roudy get on here and claim the British- who pretty much spent centuries fucking up everything they touched - were evil because they were Christians.

It's them Muslims. Fucking Muslims.

England and France have a growing sub culture based on a religious philosophy that would like to see their governments overthrown. namely the radical islamists. So should they focus on their own 18th century history to address the problem? And the problem is that radical islam is a religion and grows as a religion. The spread of the British Empire was more about Wealth and Power than religion. So if there is a current problem, tracing the lines historicaly, such as the barbary pirates is not a bad thing to do.
And speaking of slavery, I believe the Muslims are still currently practicing that today. Right now you can go buy a Yazidi girl for a wife. You can bet her father and brother were murdered to as they drug her from her house. You can probably buy one in saudi arabia as well. But your right , the evil west has a history of colonization that absorbed other cultures, so damn, what do you do? Focus on our past, or be aware of whats happening today?

The American way of life has never been compatible with Islam.
