As i began to read Marx and Engels, it reminded me of the biblical messages i grew up with

By then, I had spent several years realizing that things were not right in our society. And now I saw there were other ways to organize an economy that reward people for their work and enable them to sustain themselves. Capitalism was doing that for some, but it was leaving a whole bunch of other people to suffer and die. And I learned that these class issues could not be divorced from race and gender

Where did Jesus or other biblical figures preach to redistribute wealth through the force of government?
By surrounding himself with the rich women and living off of them. He got the tax out of a fish.

Verse?

Who bankrolled his ministry?
Luke 8

Women Who Supported Jesus
8 After this, Jesus traveled from one city and village to another. He spread the Good News about God’s kingdom. The twelve apostles were with him. 2 Also, some women were with him. They had been cured from evil spirits and various illnesses. These women were Mary, also called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out; 3 Joanna, whose husband Chusa was Herod’s administrator; Susanna; and many other women. They provided financial support for Jesus and his disciples.

So Jesus preached that government must enact socialism?

Yes all the time.

You're a heretic. Jesus never endorsed using government to squeeze money out of people.

So what happens to people who "dont" want to work in Socialism? Do they still get paid?

That is not the meaning of socialism.

In the book of Acts. There were a couple that didn't want to redistribute all of their wealth. And God blotted them from out of the book that no one will remember them.
They've lied by pretending to be redistributing their wealth, like Soros and the rest of these Elites who are pretending to redistribute their wealth. Should we do God's job for them by blotting them from out of the book too?
It will not work unless all volunteered willingly. But when you have givers and receivers. That the flow of wealth will be flowing out of other people's pockets into other people's hands.
But why doesn't these International bankers who are pushing for redistributing wealth, print fiat currency and give it freely to the poor?
Like what Abraham Lincoln said about division, the haves and have nots. Those who redistributes their wealth, and those who don't. That there will be all redistributing or there will be none at all. And so you better tell Soros and his goons to give me some of their wealth, or else they will be blotted out of Forbes magazine.

"A house divided against itself, cannot stand."

I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free.

I do not expect the Union to be dissolved — I do not expect the house to fall — but I do expect it will cease to be divided.

It will become all one thing or all the other."

Acts 2
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Acts 4
32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

36 Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means “son of encouragement”), 37 sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.

Acts 5
Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. 2 With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.

3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? 4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

5 When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened. 6 Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

7 About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?”

“Yes,” she said, “that is the price.”

9 Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”

10 At that moment she fell down at his feet and died.

I sure wish Leftists would at least be consistent on whether they want government to be the arm of Jesus with such things as giving money to the poor and welcoming immigrants of any kind into the US while then saying we need a separation of church and state when it comes to such issues as abortion and gay marriage.

But that is how they roll, hypocrites to the end with not real concern about what God thinks on anything, just pushing mindless propaganda 24/7.

The American welfare system began as a faith-based initiative.
Charity for the poor began with Jesus, before Christ, none existed.

That is part of the effect Christ had on the world and how he changed things. In fact, your hospitals and universities were all started by those of faith, and today pretty much all charities are run by people of faith.

But now the secular state has their hand in the mix as those on the Left tend to sit on their arse preaching to all of us how we should vote for those who would force them to give their time and money to government in the hopes some of it would go to those in need, while those who give the majority of their time and money directly to the poor are those who are religious conservatives who actually do something about it themselves.

In the decades of the Apostolic Age, the ability to buy and sell in the Jewish world resided in allegiance to the temple cult. When a Jew forsook Moses for Jesus, his property was seized (Heb 10:34). He also forfeited his credit and much of his income. Perhaps such deprivation led to the communal style living among some primitive Christians (Acts 4:34-35; 6:1-3).

Christians, by and large, however, maintained their lifestyles, their income streams, and even elevated charity to whole new heights.

The United States, Norway, North Korea, Venezuela - these are not the the kingdom of God. Socialist societies are not where Christian allegiances lie.
