The best thing libertarians can do right now is support Republicans

No, the Republican haven't done anything to merit support. I'm not even going to try. But:

Democrats are

- No longer just a lesser evil. They are actual evil. They have taken race whoring to epic proportions. Race relations have done nothing but go down and it's been a clear Democrat strategy to accomplish that to get blacks to the polls to vote blue. That while they ramp up the electronic lynching of any black who tries not to be a Democrat to send a message to the rest of the blacks what will happen to them if they do the same

- Pushing the green new deal to get Marxism. The reality is we aren't technologically advanced enough yet to get off fossil fuels. Yet they want to spend trillions. And it's just a shallow marketing cover for Marxism. They are seriously pushing things like minimum income as "green"

- Turning our inner cities into violent turf. You can't even walk the streets anymore. Note too how even though there are NO Republicans involved in these inner city issues, Democrats try to use their own failures to draw votes

- Are just pushing endless Marxism, and for real. Not like the old days where they just ran as Marxists. They want single payer and government control over energy, financial services just to start

That while the Libertarian Party is now just a gag party

- Bob Barr, Gary Johnson and Gary Johnson? Three candidates in a row that weren't even libertarian

- Finally in 2020, we got Jo Jorgensen who is at least libertarian, but the Libertarian Party again had to prove it's just a gag party by picking Spike Cohen, the anarchist running mate of Vermin, a performance artist who wears a shoe as a hat and isn't even libertarian. The party can't be taken seriously at this point

I argued since circa 1990 thirty years ago that it really didn't matter if you didn't listen to the words and just looked at what they actually did. Now it matters. Not because the Republican have gotten any better, they haven't. But the Democrats have gone off the deep end. No more sticking our heads in the sand and pretending the parties are the same, they are not. And Democrats are to a point like despots and dictators that the have to be stopped.

Frankly if you can't vote Republican, at least vote for another third party until the Libertarian Party pulls its head out of its ass. Gone were the days of Harry Browne where we could vote for an actual libertarian. Badnarik wasn't bad either. But since then, it's sad
imo they should vote a libertarian. As I did in 16. I agree with the libertarians on social issues, but less so on economic … though I favor some form of budget balanced requirement. But I don't see with either party brings to the table in this election.

I never found Biden to be offensive. As a moderate dem he's more inclined to address deficts that the gop, which at this point in time has only an ideology that tax cuts spur growth …. which they did, but not to the degree the gop said they would, and they increased the deficit even while Trump spent more more more.

The Democrats want another $3.5 TRILLION in spending, most of it for Marxist ideology. Biden is promising $2 Trillion for green new deal. Most of it for socialist spending. The rest for technology that we aren't capable of yet. You're worried about deficits ... and Trump? You're just lying, that's insane.

And more to the point, my point is about way more than spending. The Democrats are bat shit crazy. We can't walk safely in the streets of Democrat cities anymore and they want to go national with that
Their Marxist take over didn’t happen overnight. People just ignored it. Now look at who runs our Schools, Big corporations ,Media , Entertainment etc...

I’m afraid you are preaching to the choir. Libertarians Will hopefully vote for Republican’s...but I doubt it.

They will just bitch about being ruled by Marxists later. :)

I think that's true for the hard core libertarians. They like to lose to feel smug and superior. I consider the majority of libertarians to already be in the Republican party. I think there are also a lot of libertarians like me who don't belong to any party but feel lost every time we look at both the Republican party and the Libertarian party.

I just think that the Democrat party has become virulently evil to the point I can't pretend the parties are the same anymore

I consider the majority of libertarians to be "in" the Libertarian Party, if they support a party at all. Libertarians who vote for Republicans are Republicans. They just don't want to admit it.

The Libertarian Party is tiny. There are many people who support small government. And the Libertarian Party is great at turning them off. You don't know what you're talking about. The Tea Party was based on people who are fiscally conservative and don't think government should really be involved in social issues and that we overuse our military. That's libertarian leaning already

Trump is not the Tea Party. He's not fiscally conservative. He's an authoritarian, the opposite of libertarian. If I voted for him, it would be a lie.

I agree he's not a tea partier, but where do you get authoritarian? Don't use talking points, use actual examples

Well, we could start with him sending in DHS to punish states that piss him off. Then, all the executive orders he's used to work around Congress. And his efforts to bully tech companies, or anyone else really, who won't kiss his ass. It also comes through in so many of his asinine comments where he assumes he can do anything he wants because he's the President. I don't know if those come from ignorance or malice, but it doesn't matter. He literally thinks, as President, he can just "go after" anyone or any group who opposes him. He's an authoritarian alright. He's in love with power.

Can you come down from 50K feet and be a little more specific? Actually, be a LOT more specific

And that to you proves Trump is an authoritarian. I'm not the one evading right now. That would be you

You said Joe Biden is for "smaller government." That was the standard I laughed at you for. And deservedly so. Cut the hyperbole, no one said the stupid crap you did.

So since you're voting for Biden, you're a "Biden cheerleader?" That's your standard?

Of course it's not, stop being a dick
No I said he is more small government than trump. Trump is the deficit and bailout king.

Any vote for republicans right now is a vote for big government. Only way to get a small government party back is to punish the repubs rather than reward. The Lincoln project knows this.
OMG, electing Joe You Ain't Black Biden will strike a blow for ... small government ...

You're not a mouse, you're a sheep. Or in your native language, baa, baa, baa, baa ...
When faced with such complete ignorance as these sniveling liberal retards display I can not help but wish for a collapse. This country needs an enema so that the liberals can be washed out of the nation.

For a bed wetter to even jokingly attempt to assert electing a doddering old fool like biden would roll back "big government" is beyond insane. It sets the bar of stupid to new lows. Considering the fact that they've sunk the bar so low that it was pushed through the core of the earth, blew out the other side and was in orbit above the Indian Ocean just moments ago, " Brain357 just pushed it into the lunar orbit. There is no retrieving it now.

He has a long record that says he is. Trump has been the big government king. Rules by executive order. Huge deficits and bailouts.

It's easy for me to concede he loves his own authority, and he is FAR FROM a "small government conservative", but at this point why has he not gone after individuals like Comey, Soros, Hitlary, Lynch, or anyone else that as far as I'm concerned should be thrown out of a helicopter?

At some point we're likely to end up with a despotic oligarchy if we don't technically live under one now. Looking back at what the moonbat messiah did with the government, I'm about ready for a Pinochet, because that's still a better result than a Stalin.

It is the money of We the People

Taken FROM the people with a threat of imprisonment.

So much for idea of voluntary taxation.

Forced redistribution of wealth does not an act of charity make.
I don’t like people needing charity. Let’s right size our capitalism so that it works for everyone.

So that the poor aren’t so poor and so the middle class isn’t struggling so much. Like, before Reagan.

The middle class did well all the way up till George Bush 2. Then Reagan’s policies started taking affect. They didn’t just fuck us in one day it happened slowly over 30 or 40 years.

Any vote for republicans right now is a vote for big government. Only way to get a small government party back is to punish the repubs rather than reward. The Lincoln project knows this.
Voting for republicans has been a vote for big gubmint since Eisenhower, Corky.

The Lincoln Project is nothing more than a bunch of big-spending, bureaucracy bloating, warmongering, elitist country club neocon assholes, who are buttthurt that Trump upset their little scam.

If you can't get a clue, I can rent one to you for a few hours.

Hell. No. Trump is the polar opposite of libertarian.
Yea but libertarians will vote for trump don’t worry. Libertarians are just cons who’ve been let down by republicans too much to say they are republicans.
People who call themselves libertarians, yet vote Republican aren't libertarians - big L or otherwise, they're just Republicans who don't want to admit they're Republicans.

LO2E is fraud.
Voting for ANYONE other than Trump is playing Russian Roulette with our nation. Your personal values won't save you from a radical take over of our nation.

Trumps got dementia too. He’s literally gone insane.

Biden was a moderate 25 years ago. Now he's whatever his handlers are, and they are radical left
Nah that’s just what republicans say every 4 years. You said it about Clinton, he was a moderate. You said it about Obama, he was a moderate too. Hillary would have been a moderate too.

Trump could have been a moderate but the far right got him elected so he’s serving them not mainstream America.

Listen, clearly you approve of all those things - because you're "libertarian".

I don't.

And that to you proves Trump is an authoritarian. I'm not the one evading right now. That would be you

Nah... you're playing a stupid game, that's very popular with Trumpsters these days, where you just keep demanding more and more detail, all the while back pedalling and diverting. You're sold on Trump, I get it. But he is an authoritarian and I'm not playing.

I have nothing to agree or disagree with, you said nothing

Joe is more small government than trump

What a tool

You trump cheerleaders have no clue. Huge deficits, bailouts, tariffs, executive orders.... not small government.

Biden's not more small government than Kim Jong-un
He has a long record that says he is. Trump has been the big government king. Rules by executive order. Huge deficits and bailouts.

Rrriiggghhhhttttttt. Don't get big government, executive orders, huge deficits or bailouts with Democrats. No siree, not now not ever.

Have you ever taken an IQ test to see if you have one?

Any vote for republicans right now is a vote for big government. Only way to get a small government party back is to punish the repubs rather than reward. The Lincoln project knows this.
Democrats are Marxists. They aren’t about “ small government”
Trump is a Marxist.
Incorrect.

Marxist believe in abolishing all of the following : boarders, private property, religion, law enforcement.

All Democratic positions
