Future historians will date 2020 as the year that the United States of America, the longest lasting republic in the history of mankind, finally ended.

We don't know what will replace the republic, but we do know that the Democrats plan to build a socialist society where freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, and due process no longer gets in the way between an all powerful government enforcing its will on the people.

Before Democrats can establish that society, we who still love freedom will have a choice. Will we submit, or will we fight?

We have already allowed the Democrats to close down our businesses, our schools, even our places of worship on the thin excuse of a virus, so a bad precedent has been set.

If we are to win future battles, we must be more vigilant.

I do not have a plan for how to proceed from here.

All I have is an idea.

The idea is that we can no longer stay home, mind our own business, and hope that other people will fight this fight for us.

We must all get involved because it will take all our efforts if we are to avoid the dark, dreary future the Democrats have planned for us.

If you want to know the future the Democrats plan, read 1984 by George Orwell.

Most importantly, the society Orwell envisioned controlled speech and by controlling speech they controlled thought.

When you hear the words "political correctness" that is what is happening.

Just recently, man's career was destroyed, his life was destroyed, because he said: "All lives matter."

And no one, NO ONE, lifts a finger to save this man.

Sure, we are sympathetic to his plight.

But we cower in fear, hoping against hope that this terrible storm the Democrats have unleashed will not destroy us and our careers and lives.

We need to fight back, which means that when the Democrats set out to destroy someone for words he uttered, we can't let him be destroyed.

That take courage -- which I'm afraid we have not been demonstrating.

The decline of the Roman Empire in the West. The capitol of the Eastern Roman Empire, Constantinople, remained unassailed for an additional thousand years.
The Western half died because too many Germaniic tribes did not assimilate into Roman society.

In fact the exact opposite took place. The Romans allowed the Visigoths, Franks, Vandals etc, vast lands to settle in because plagues in the second and third centuries had depopulated so much of the Roman empire and Rome hoped to disolve these kingdoms by competing for new Roman citizens via the Germans assimilating into Roman society. Instead Roman citiizens ducked the high Roman taxes and went to become Germans in their tribal areas. The Germanic Roman legion veterans went to other Germanic tribes and assimilated, not to Roman society, once again.

Rome lost in the West because of stupid tax policies, their own social degeneracy and their blatant hypocrisy which has been hiding as the Vatican college of cardinals is merely the continuation of the pagan college of pontiffs.

Rome fell because the Romans hired barbarians to fight their wars for them, then failed to pay the mercenaries, and so they got sacked. There's no great moral lesson to be learned other than: "Don't be so damn stupid."

The United States is in danger for the same reason: our stupidity in treating the Democrats like a legitimate political party when they are, in fact, an organized band of thugs determined to destroy the republic and replace it with a socialist tyranny.

But I do believe there is a little bit of time left. The tipping point in our future will be when they really come for the guns. Then your going to see a Fight.
Then we'll be fine. No one is going to come for your guns. You may have to one day be responsible for them though.

Quit with the hyperbole. If anything it is democrats who are tryng to hold the line as republicans chip away at the institutions that have made America a stable country since the civil war.

The USA hasn’t been republic for a while now. It is a rapacious oligarchy, but few Americans know it.

Right that's exactly what I'm talking about.

Give this guy a torch, he's ready to burn down America.

You mean Don, right?

Rome didn't fall because they had too many orgies or the emperors kept boys as lovers.

Rome fell because they paid the Visigoths to defend them, and then refused to pay the bill.

Maybe our problem is we're expecting the police to defend us when we really should be defending ourselves.

Well unbeknownst to many who claim to oppose the plan you say the left have in store for America; their efforts to strengthen the governments power over people, helps the left. Because eventually they'll be the ones in power. And while they may never thank the Righties who strengthened a police state; theyll surely appreciate it. Especially when the decide to come for the guns. Dont cut off your nose, just to spite your face.

You assuming that just proves you know nothing about what the hell is really happening.

I agree. Some of the most romanticized periods in US history, that invoke the imagery of the intrepid spirit, and seemingly boundless freedom, along with the dangers that come with freedom; took place e in periods with much much less law enforcement as we know it.
And even in those times,as exaggerated as the action, and tales have made it seem; it never devolved into a Mad Max scenario. I'm fully in favor of communities who desire to do so; scaling back their policing. Give the citizenry a freer hand in maintaining the peace.

Calm down. I made no assumption in regard to your position. If that shoe fit YOUR foot; it was purely coincidental. Maybe you need to think about that. My post was merely a sober warning to not get lost in the moment, and blindly become the architect of your own destruction.

That depends on the "Rome" you are referring to. The Republic of Rome prior to Julius Caesar? Or empirical Rome which was a Dictatorship. The Dictatorship version of Rome long outlived the Classical Republic of Rome.
The argument can easily be made that The original Rome ended when Julius Caesar crossed the Rhine with his troops. Till then Rome had a staunch policy of having no standing army within its borders. Caesars crossing the Rhine and bringing his army with him is what set the ball rolling toward the dictatorship that Rome has come to be known for.
Our forefathers knew all about this as well. They even built a firewall into our constitution to protect our Republic from repeating that mistake, when they declared we should have no standing army. And with modern policing, and the states agents having special privileges, and powers, and whose word carries more weight in our courts that's exactly what we've created.

Hardly unassailed, as there were many attempts and one success about 250 years before the final fall.
