That’s not all. Another $17.1 million will be going to Texas school districts to spend on buying “silent panic technology.” So half of this money is going to bulletproof shields for the militarized police that sat outside for an hour while children were being murdered; and a little less than one-fifth of the money is going to be spent on giving schools technology that banks have had since World War II.

Very well spent. Law enforcement's policy of rushing in to stop a school shooting is a good thing, but no law enforcement officers wants to die. Those shields allow them to immediately move in and put the shooter down. There should be one in the trunk of every patrol car.

The day after the shooting when it was claimed that there were no level 4 shields available (there were at least two seen just minutes into the incident) I checked the price on them from the normal police supply houses like Galls and they were all sold out......I guess departments across the land said "oh shit" and rushed to get them.

And of course, by "grandparents needed to die for capitalism", you mean he said shutting down the country was a bad idea, which of course was absolutely right. Protecting the old & very sick was the right call along, not cowering over a flu that could be treated with generics.

The best solution is armed citizens and vets providing security.
