My grandfather's ranch was across the Los Angeles River from what is now NBC Universal, Hollywood, and over 100 years ago. He was friends with water-bringer, Mulholland. He was a founding director of The San Fernando Valley Walnut Grower's Association(?). Big Business then, paid in cash--in the Great Depression. Grandpa was a listed California Democrat in Who's Who in the 1920's. Water problems were generally understood. In the Great Depression, conservatives could also be regarded Democrats.
Now even Texas Conservatives can recall Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and even in the Los Angeles Times does it even get reported!. Dallas is on board with Hillary Clinton!
