Abbott is doing the right thingbecause he serves God and thewill of Texas people. He's a courageous man with a group of great Americans who reflect the majority will of the Americans who live in Texas.
come election time I think the will of the people will become apparent when all these idiots are voted out. No one wants to live in " a tyrannical Christian state ". It would be like living in Iran, Jesus would soon become the enemy of the people.

That's a great start Texas!

I wish you could arrest Biden, Kamelface, and Palosi. Then ship their worthless asses to central america, since they love illegals so fucking much.

Then, when you're all caught up maybe you can begin arresting all the BLM scumbags. You know. The really disgusting looters, rioters, rapists, criminals, and assorted vermin. Then ship their worthless, traitorous asses anywhere, as long as it's far, far, away. And, permanent.

Texas Rose Sunday Sunday a lot more money on prisons and prisoners than they do on education which is badly needed in that state, just look at the idiot politicians they have. Not a good example.
Uhhh, excuse me, but the number of prisoners in Texas has nothing to do with education? You ARE fooling yourself. People whose parents give them proper education at home and regular Sunday school backup along with friendship rules are not likely to be disappointed. Teaching starts at birth, and it takes love and patience not to mention prayers at mealtime for guidance by way of faith in God with special attention to love for the children with boundless faith that God will watch over their very souls. Then that would mean fewer prisons would be needed. Children need to know that God is their example, not other people.

Jesus is the least tyrannical spirit I know. The only tyrants I know of are those who put voters last and themselves first. Jesus teaches by example through the Words he said, the people he taught to let others go first, then and now. School history in this nation began in church buildings that on Saturdays and Sundays served their community gatherings, and on weekdays, served the children's spiritual and reading, writing, and arithmetic knowledge and needs. This nation is troubled by the promotion of selfish ends today that came to be the vogue when atheist influences took over the public school system with the lie that somehow the Constitution was more important than worshiping God, the lie that Satanism was religion and the lie that God killed people that men actually killed to please a king or an important other.

Authorities in Texas have begun arresting illegal immigrants along the U.S.-Mexico border on trespassing charges, according to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who has blamed the Biden administration for the surge in illegal immigration and has put in motion his own border security plan to crack down on illegal crossings.

“Texas has begun arresting illegal immigrants who are trespassing in Texas or vandalizing property & fences. They are now being sent to this jail rather than being released like the Biden Admin. has been doing. We are adding more officers, National Guard & jails,” Abbott said in a tweet Thursday.

So far, at least 10 people have been jailed, with more on the way, authorities said Thursday. The detainees are being held at what had been an empty state prison in Dilley, Texas, about 100 miles north of the border city of Laredo, according to Robert Hurst, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The converted facility will be able to hold more than 950 people, he said.

Val Verde County Attorney David Martinez said that all of those arrested so far have been single adult men. He said he had been advised last week that the number of arrests of illegal immigrants could rise to as many as 100 to 200 per day.

The arrests put in motion plans that Abbott first announced in June, when he hosted a Border Security Summit in Del Rio, during which he said individuals who enter Texas illegally would be subject to arrest for trespassing.

“President Biden’s open-border policies have led to a humanitarian crisis at our southern border as record levels of illegal immigrants, drugs, and contraband pour into Texas,” Abbott said in a June 10 statement. “While securing the border is the federal government’s responsibility, Texas will not sit idly by as this crisis grows. The state is working collaboratively with communities impacted by the crisis to arrest and detain individuals coming into Texas illegally.”

During the summit, Abbott said he had directed the Texas Commission on Jail Standards and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to work with counties to establish alternative detention facilities to ensure enough jail capacity to house illegal immigrants arrested for trespassing.

“Our efforts will only be effective if we work together to secure the border, make criminal arrests, protect landowners, rid our communities of dangerous drugs, and provide Texans with the support they need and deserve,” Abbott said at the time. “This is an unprecedented crisis, and Texas is responding with the most robust and comprehensive border plan the nation has ever seen.”

Illegal immigrants arrested by state troopers for trespassing first began showing up at the former prison on Tuesday. Prison officials said in a statement said that preparations for the Dilley facility included temporary air conditioning—which many Texas prisons don’t have in living areas—and training and licensing jailers.

Abbott has also announced that Texas would continue building former President Donald Trump’s border wall and called on other governors to deploy law enforcement and National Guard members to the southern border.

“In the Biden Administration’s absence, Texas is stepping up to get the job done by building the border wall,” Abbott said in a June 16 statement. “Through this comprehensive public safety effort, we will secure the border, slow the influx of unlawful immigrants, and restore order in our border communities.”

Federal immigration officials recently announced that they had apprehended 188,829 people illegally crossing the southwest border in June, up from 180,034 in May. The figure includes more than 15,000 unaccompanied minors, over 55,000 family units, and over 117,000 single adults.

--------------------

It’s time for Abbot to actually close his sovereign states international border by using his National Guard & explain to the Federal Government that any attempt to stop him will be considered an act of war.

He has every right & every responsibility to protect his citizens & his economy against what can only be referred to as an illegal invasion by unwelcome foreign nationals.

Texas once again makes me proud.there is a reason they say DONT MESS WITH TEXAS.:yes_text12:

Unfortunately, this is dragging us into a sticky widget of gray uncertainty----
  1. Technically, a state doesn't have the jurisdiction to build border walls or defend the border as that is federal jurisdiction. Nor do they have the authority to enforce federal laws.
  2. It is the federal government's responsibility to protect the border, unfortunately, no one has ever written a law imposing what the fine or penalty for not doing so should be and there is no authority to enforce it, other than the fed itself.
  3. Where is Abbott going to get the money to finish the border wall? Will he sue the fed for reparations?
  4. It seems to me then that all Abbott can do is charge the illegals with /civil/ violations of local law such as destruction of property and trespassing. I'm not sure he even has the authority to return these people back to Mexico but instead turning them over to ICE.
  5. I don't think it is possible for a state to declare war against its own government. At best, he can secede from the Union and be considered a traitor like the Confederates.
  6. It would be interesting for Texas to sue the fed for the cost and damages for their not protecting the border.
It is clear Biddum won't protect the border and this will undoubtedly lead to an eventual showdown between the Fed and Texas. What Abbott needs now is for more states to join and side with him.
While the U.S. Constitution clearly puts the responsibility of border control and customs squarely on the shoulder of the federal government, it "doesn't forbid" states from stopping people from crossing into our nation illegally and thus the states can arrest and detain on the illegals on the grounds of trespassing on private property. Texas just needs to make the punishment for trespassing harsh enough to deter them from coming over the border.

That is certainly one interpretation that a state like Texas CAN argue! However, the Fed will generally argue back that all those powers not expressly reserved by the states for themselves automatically fall to the Fed, and there are arguments to support that as well, but also many incongruities which the States can argue back.

And the Fed will argue that once caught, they need to be turned over to ICE, which of course, under Biddum, means they will likely be released.

Bottom line is that once again, lawyers have assured lots of court appearances and good job security for themselves! While the nation burns.

Yep. Biden has to have it driven home that he oughten't to mess with Texas so we drive it home equally whether the guy who disrespects his oath of office of providing for the common good. We can take care of ourselves from the athiest actors in DC who ripoff budgetary items they prosper themselves with rather than the people. They will pay a price for Biden"s abdigation of his most important Constitutional requirement. We're now the victim of all the sick people crossing the border with the virulent strain from S.A. 3 of my relatives south of here got covid in the past month. One is a schoolteacher and another works in sanitation. Those are the areas in which this strain is likeliest to flourish. One may be on his deathbed. If he doesn't make it, his only son will have a broken heart. They wouldn't be sick if 30% of the million that crossed the border weren't infected. But they were ignored because Democrats to tend to pull fast ones on states that didn't vote for them like Obama's mishandling of the ocean crisis that destroyed 60% of small business owners his first year in office the dirty rat.

230,000 Illegals committed 577,000 egregious crimes after they stayed in the finest hotel accomadations they were granted by Joe and Kamala. That is some damn payback for taxpayer self-impoverishment in their max push for wealthy living without any appreciation to those we made comfortable for Washington's foolery. If you don't think the Washington Demonrats chickens won't come home to roost just wait and see. The problem with pickpocketing illegal votes is some will not tolerate emptying what's leftover from the theft, when those whose pockets are being picked will end it unpleasantly for the criminals who did it. Lotsa chickens gonna roost in Delaware and California in the near future.

The states wouldn't have to release them to the custody of the feds until "after" they've served their time in jail for the original charge and if they happen to be human traffickers or drug mules, or wanted for previous crimes which they fled the U.S. for, they can be held until those are resolved then turned over to the states in which they are wanted for their previous crimes.

If the government is paralyzed the people must act. Instead of ignoring the invasion and absorbing the damage, start shooting. If the border is going to be lawless give the invaders real lawlessness.
How many illegals have you shot? You are just another scared pussy begging others to create your fantasy because you are afraid.

I fought like the devil himself to make sure that criminal invader that carjacked me got sent to prison. Cried like a baby he did. Pissed his pants right in the courtroom.

We don't need one or two people down at the border taking pot shots, we need a mass movement of thousands. We need numbers that put the Jan 6 protest to embarrassment.
