Cruz unveils ObamaCare alternative TheHill

Cruz's bill, called the Health Care Choices Act, would allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, long a Republican health policy goal. It would also repeal Title I of ObamaCare, which would undo much of the law, including the mandate to buy insurance, the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage.

---------------------------------------------

Hilarious! If you live in New Orleans and you get screwed over by your insurance company in California, good luck trying to get some money back.
Republicans are such shills for big companies. This is why ALL their policies fail. They are good at imagining conspiracies, but when in comes to this world, they are clueless.

Talk about crappy insurance. Republicans are dying to make sure that happens. Then, even more Americans will be dying. Long a GOP goal. Republicans think they are killing minorities, but the GOP base suffers as much or even more considering most of them live in Red States. They might as well paint a bullseye on their butthole. That's how much their leaders care about them.

So Democrats would like you (by extension of the wet dream above) to be allowed only to buy vegetables grown in your own state.

Ob-la-di-ob-la-dahhhhhhhhh......

Not surprising that his "bill" favors Big Insurance over the American consumer.

That's pretty much a basic tenet of the GOP. It it doesn't benefit the 1% and screw over the little guy, they don't want it.

For a lesson on what would happen if insurance companies could sell across state lines let's look at credit cards.

Once upon a time credit could not be extended across state lines, but credit card companies didn't like that so they successfully lobbied to get this law changed. They immediately relocated to the state with the loosest regs (Delaware) and the other 49 states no longer had any say about how their citizens were treated by these companies. Now let's use that example to imagine the race to the bottom that would be held to determine the home state of all of America's health insurance companies. The state that will let them fuck people out of coverage the most will win and we will all lose, fuck you Ted Cruz.

Obamacare was a godsend for the insurance companies. They all backed it. AARP made out like a bandit.

The American consumer had its premiums, co payments, deductions and taxes raised under Obamacare.

The only people that benefited from it was the welfare queen shitheads that were too sorry to pay for their own health care and wanted somebody to pay for them.

Here is what one of my friends supports instead of ACA insurance mandates

there are other options besides medical coverage for profit

There are charitable organizations and educational programs that exist for the purpose of SERVING the public
and are NOT for profit.

Some of these groups are more effective and faster to respond than Govt is.
So why not empower citizens and communities to invest DIRECTLY in setting up sustainable services?

Why this ASSUMPTION that the only choices are govt mandates or private profits?

Some examples of medical nonprofits that work effectively on purely VOLUNTARY funding and participation:
* Doctors Without Borders
* AmeriCares
* OMNI medical clinics and educational outreach OMNI Orphan Medical Network International
and other Christian or Charitable medical outreach like these.

Here are examples of FREE healing practices that can save more resources and lives, so that more people can be helped instead of treating medical services as monopolized commodity:
* Healing Is Yours
* Christian Healing Ministries - Christian Healing Ministries

Luddly if you want to use secular systems like govt for your funding preference for health care,
that's fine. But please respect the free and equal choice of people who want to go through
FREE spiritual healing and invest in nonprofit clinics and medical education programs.

Commercialized medicine and insurance is NOT the only choice.

Why not respect the free choice of what people and communities want for their health care?
Why act like "your way is the ONLY way" if you don't like when Christians do that with religion?

A man worked for me who was deeply involved with faith healing. He got cancer. Prayer started immediately, long and hard. They were praying long and hard for him at the cemetery. His daughter told me the Dr's said they caught the cancer early and had a 90% success of saving people in that stage.

Think about it.
When the GOP base is old and white, killing off the young and the non-white is a brilliant strategy.
They want to scuttle the ACA to even up the playing field.

If it works against the middle class or lower clas, they are all for it. They can't deny it either. They try to hide behind such things a false patriotism, socialism, trickle down, etc. All fallacies.

Under the current ACA system cronyism continues to rule, lobbyists retain their jobs, elected representatives can be bought and sold to the highest bidder at the expense of the tax payer, or should we say the person who is forced to purchase insurance.
Only in an unobstructed free market can prices be driven down and quality of service increased to the benefit of the consumer.
