On the heels of Obama's re-election, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said, "Obama must by now know that [the U.S.] has lost the war in Afghanistan" and should pull out U.S. troops accordingly.

According to Mujahid:

[The U.S. should] leave without further lying and delays, they should leave our sacred land and focus on their own country instead. The American administration should stop acting like police in the world and focus on solving their own peoples' problems, and don't make the world hate Americans even more.

As of right now, Obama plans to pull all U.S. troops out of Afghanistan by the end of 2014, but that apparently won't be fast enough for Mujahid. He and the rest of the Taliban view the U.S. as a defeated enemy and want U.S. troops to leave immediately.

We have a signed contract with them, made under Bush.
Under that contract it states that they must stay there till 2014.
This is why President Obama could not bring them back sooner, after he was elected in his first term.

Hmm that sucks, our troops are dying over there for pretty much nothing at this point.

This is the new contract made by Obama.

In May, Obama and Afghan President Hamid Karzai signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement that promised an ongoing U.S. commitment to Afghanistan through 2024. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Oct. 3 that Grossman's deputy, James Warlick, will be the lead U.S. negotiator for the Bilateral Security Agreement that will follow. Karzai's Ambassador to Washington Eklil Hakimi will lead the negotiations for the Afghan side.

So they will be there until 2024 dying for pretty much nothing.

Its not for nothing ..Someone needs to secure the heroin trade and its good for military contractors...solace can be taken by their loved ones knowing these sons and daughters did not die without creating profit

2024? Jesus.

The Taliban beat us, we know it, they know it, everyone knows it.
Maybe we should equip our army with PJs and slippers too, just to be on an even playing field.

Don't let this "Taliban" nonsense fool you. As long as there are Opium Profits to be made, the US Military will be there.
