Taliban execute folk singer days after saying music is ‘forbidden,’ family says

Trump promised to make America "great again", and under these slogans he poured US down the toilet. Together with the victims of the fight against terrorism

If they leave everything as it is, the United States will forget about freedom and prosperity, in 10 years from now, it will start to shut its mouths and put it on Chinese consumer goods, this is already happening. This riots involving African Americans and Vaccine Scam is No Coincidence

So the US exit is the road to world terror. This exit had no military reason, in fact, the Taliban were completely defeated back in 2014 and there were no large-scale hostilities there, it was just a betrayal of the authorities
That was my understanding as well, that the taliban were decimated. The reason we were given for continued involvement was that we needed to help them rebuild their infrastructure so we could gain an ally and help stabilize the region. It was Obama's version of MAGA (Make Afghanistan Great Again).

It seems:
A) the taliban were able to regroup and rebuild during the last 12 years, and
B) the Afghan military we spent 15 years building (and 10's of billions in equipment) were not who they said they were.
C) the Afghan people actually WANT the taliban as rulers, otherwise they would have fought back.

I think it probably was a waste since about 2008. If the people there WANT western style "peace" and democracy, they'll have to earn it themselves.

An Afghan folk singer has been executed by the Taliban just days after the Islamic fundamentalist group declared that “music is forbidden in Islam,” according to his family.
Fawad Andarabi’s family told the Associated Press that he was shot dead Friday when enforcers returned to his home after earlier searching it and even drinking tea with him.
“They shot him in the head on the farm,” his son, Jawad, said of the killing in the Andarabi Valley for which he was named.
“He was innocent, a singer who only was entertaining people,” the grieving son said of his dad, who played a bowed lute called a ghichak and sang traditional songs about his country.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the AP that the insurgents would investigate the incident, but had no other details on the killing in the area about 60 miles north of Kabul.
It came just days after Mujahid told the New York Times that music was being outlawed, just as it had been during the group’s brutal rule from 1996 until 2001.
Afghan folk singer Fawad Andarabi was reportedly dragged from his house and executed by the Taliban after they outlawed music.

More humiliation for America. Joey Xi has become the purveyor of death. His promise to Build Back Better has been a boon for the Taliban. Joey Xi Bai Dung and his team of 'Wynken, Blinken and Nod' supplied them with more military equipment than the Australian Army presently has..
This is just the beginning the stench of death will now permeate the air in Afghanistan for some time to come.

Oh come on. He was a folk singer. You know you don't really care.

This is nonsense for herd, alkaida has never played a significant role in this policy. It began during the presence of Soviet troops in Afghanistan, which fought against the Northern Alliance. The United States sided with the Northern Alliance and funded the rebels. Since then, this policy has continued uninterruptedly until recently. The events of September 11 were just a stage of this game. On September 10, the leader of the Northern Alliance, Ahmad Shah Massoud, was destroyed, it was just an exacerbation of this confrontation and not its beginning. The beginning was in the 80s or even earlier.

Nonsense the Taliban were created in the Madrassas in Pakistan funded and fitted out with weapons by the intelligence arm of the Pak gov't named SIS. While Al Qaeda was the brain child of Osama Bin Laden,

It's just that the Taliban or their lobbyists infiltrated the US administration and redefined policy.

what's the difference, the Taliban represents the interests of the Pashtuns, they exist in Afghanistan and Pakistan

While Al Qaeda was the brain child of Osama Bin Laden,
I will not undertake to argue that Alqaida and the Taliban are one and the same, but both organizations were against the Northern Alliance, therefore both of them were enemies of the United States

I'm sure they do a lot of things which we disapprove of, tramp made a deal with the Taliban. Remember that.

Peepee, you are a feckless piece of shit. Trump had conditions. Xiden had none other than giving the taliban everything they wanted.

It's going to be fun watching you suffer when that karmic bitch slap arrives.

Interesting. A plan was in place to extract ourselves from the forever war, a plan that should have been in place 4 to 8 years prior. Yet, the incoming president threw that plan away,
Where in that plan did the condition exist for the US Armed forces to be reduce to 2500 from 8600 on Jan 15, a few day before the next President took office. With too few troops left the plans needed to change. We had to rely more on the Afghan Army.

No body blames old Trumpybear for the human guided bomber, or the collateral damage we caused on our exit.

Aren't you pleased we never repatriated too many Taliban? Make no mistake. They were included in the evacuation and surface with some terrorism in time.

That's because Trump didn’t release the bomber.

Xiden did.

Afghanistan has a rich tradition of music, classic and folk music..

The censorship of music in Afghanistan

During 14 years of communist rule, music in Afghanistan was heavily controlled by the Ministry for Information and Culture, while in the refugee camps in Pakistan and Iran all music was prohibited in order to maintain a continual state of mourning. The roots of the Taliban ban on music lie in the way these camps were run.

Confederate Soldier

This seem pretty outrageous to me that an innocent folksinger was murdered.. Music is very popular throughout the Arab world.. Its there in every souk and every taxi. Why is Afghanistan different?

Blame it on your hero xiden. He gave the taliban the country.

Then equipped them.

Stop with your lies. Go find the Jewish Ritual Murder thread.

The taliban are an extremist Muslim group, blaming their intolerance of music on the Russians is a lie.

As far as the rest goes, the facts speak for themselves
