Chen Ching-ho, president of Shih Hsin University, apologized for the remarks in a social media statement on Friday, saying he had failed to express himself clearly during a commencement ceremony on May 30.

Speaking to master’s and doctoral graduates, Chen discussed self-management and career development, urging students to manage their time and emotions after entering the workforce. He said those who could not do so should “quickly end themselves” because “this world no longer needs your existence”.

Failed to express himself clearly? Sounds like he was being very clear. Perhaps he has trouble managing his own time and emotions. Fortunately, for the school, he has taken a two-month leave.
