Syria threatens to set Middle East on fire

In response to reports that NATO is contemplating taking military strikes on Syria, ASSSSad threatend:
(1) Syria will rain missiles down on Tel Aviv,
(2) Hezbollah will be called to attack Israel,
and
(3) Iran will strike US and European ships in the Gulf!

Oh boy do I hope NATO attacks Syria and that ASSSSad isn't bluffing!

How I see it going down:
(1) NATO strikes Syrians military establishments (military bases, factories, airfields etc) and imposes a no fly zone. They want to do it Libya style.
(2) Syria musters the remaining missile it has and moves them towards the Israeli border. Israel response with an air attack, knocking out the missiles before any can take off and hitting more of Syria's military establishment.
(3) ASSSad does a lot of talk, but he can afford to fight Israel, since he is now fighting for his life like Gaddiff!
(4) Iran does nothing but talk a bunch like the paper dragon they are.
(5) Hezbollah attacks, thinking they will do it like the 2nd Lebanese War, but this time Bibi orders a massive counter strike! No leaflets getting dropped, no bowing to Europe's calls for proportionate response and no hands behind their back. The fighting last for a few weeks to a few months, with Hezbollah running scared!
(6) ASSSSad eventually leaves the country (probably yo Iran) with his tail between his legs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Don't forget that NATO will probably arm Syrian citizens like Libya so they can do the ground work for us.

I seriously doubt Iran would join in any conflict concerning Syria. At least openly. Iranian airstrikes against allied shipping would give the US the excuse the need to destroy all their nuclear sites, something the Iranians would be reluctant to expose.

Syria and Hezbollah could cause some damage but the internal pressures might cause the Syrian army to fracture even more and the purported missile strike might fail. NATO warplanes would certainly target them if they were being moved. Plus Israel has a lot better anti missile system than back in 1990's when they relied on Patriot batteries.

I remember Saddam's promise of "rivers of blood". They're all bunch of little freakazoids. Israel will wipe them out toot-sweet.

The thing is in Libya we had the rebels who could do the fighting on the ground, is there an armed force on the ground in Syria that could fight Assads forces if a no fly zone is in place? I have been paying attention to the situation in Syria from the jump and I have not seen one.

There was a rebel force already formed by the time we got around to arming them, I don't see anything closely resembling that in Syria.

ASSSad is issuing an empty threat. When an Arab leader with it's people they threaten Israel to try to appeal to their people's hatred of the Jews.

Syria didn't attack when Israel took out their nuclear plant, so why would they provoke a fight with Israel and give Israel an excuse to give them hell?

I doubt Hezbollah would do anything. Since they got their butts kicked (the antisemites can spin however, they like, Lebanon was in shabbles, Nasrallah hasn't come out of hiding and they haven't done anything since) in the last war.

No way Iran attacks the US ships or even Israel. First, they don't want to give US the justification it so desires (make no mistake the Obama adm would love for Iran to attack, so they could flex some muscle and hit back hard) to hit Iran hard, specifically their nuclear plants.
Second, without the military they Greens take over from the Ayatollahs. A weakened Iranian military would allow that. The Ayatollahs know that.
Third, Iran's military is a paper dragon. Alamdouchebag can bark all he wants, their offensive capacity isn't much.

My bet is Iran doing alot of tough talk but I don't see them coming to fight for the Syrians, even if NATO bombs the fucking shit out of Damascus, like you said Iran wants to keep their nuclear plants and they will not risk that for Syria.

Hezbollah Preparing Missile War On Israel...
Report: Hizbullah preparing missile war on Israel as Iran braces for attack
Thursday, November 3rd, 2011 | The Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah is planning for war with Israel, a report said.
The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that Hizbullah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah, in coordination with Teheran, has been meeting senior commanders to plan for war with the Jewish state. The center, in a report by Shimon Shapira, said Nasrallah has ordered his commanders to prepare for long-range missile attacks that would target Tel Aviv and other major Israeli cities. “Nasrallah’s recent escalation of public statements stems fromheightened fear in Hizbullah that an Israeli and/or American attack on Iran is drawing nearer,” the report said. “As a strategic arm of Iran, Hizbullah sees itself as Iran’s first line of defense against Israel.”

“Hizbullah forces are being trained to fire at least 10,000 missiles, right at the war’s outset, at military and strategic targets such as airfields, military camps, and vital facilities including maritime ones, followed by the firing of rockets from launch sites whose location will come as a surprise to Israel,” the report, titled “Hizbullah Discusses Its Operational Plan for War with Israel,” said. The report, released on Nov. 2 and based on open Arab sources, said Nasrallah has also ordered a ground force invasion of northern Israel. Hizbullah, with at least 20,000 fighters, was said to be planning to deploy 5,000 special forces troops trained in Iran to capture Israel’s Galilee region.

Shapira, a retired brigadier general from Israeli military intelligence, said the Hizbullah plan was formulated with Iran. He said the Iranian Army has already mined Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa Valley where Israeli special forces were expected to land in any regional war. The report said Hizbullah has also been equipped with so-called “smart” anti-tank guided missiles from Iran. These missiles were said to have been designed to knock out Israel’s fleet of Merkava-class main battle tanks, which played a marginal role in the last war with Hizbullah in 2006.

“Hizbullah’s conclusion from the lessons of the Second Lebanon War [in 2006] is that, next time, Israel will have no red lines in waging all-out war against Lebanon and Hizbullah,” the report said. “Hence, Hizbullah is planning ‘many surprises’ that will change the force equation with Israel both at the start of the conflict and during its operational phase.” In February, Nasrallah announced Hizbullah plans to conquer northern Israel. Since then, Hizbullah has been training for such a mission, including deploying rocket and artillery in the Bekaa Valley as well as mining possible landing sites by Israeli helicopters in southern Lebanon.

Here we go again.

As the Right gears up for the presidency, we are seeing more and more stories about Iran and Syria.

The Right very often uses a national threat to make their leader a war president and thus insulate his domestic agenda from opposition.

"You are either with the president or with the terrorists"

"Opposing the president during a time of war gives our enemies strength."

Why does the Right always use national threats politically.

Bush defeated Kerry by switching the discussion from the economy to national security. It never ends. Look for Syria and/or Iran to be the next Iraq.

Look for the Tea Party to go along with the next budget-destoying, civil-rights destroying war, no questions asked.

(as usual they will be the useful idiots of power)
