11 years ago this month I was unemployed for the first time since I was 17. Took 4 months to find a new job and wiped out our family savings. I used this as the fuel to drive me to finish my Bachelors I started while on active duty and get my Masters degree. At the same time my wife was finishing nursing school. We used that crisis to drive us to improve our situation. Fast forward 11 years and we have gone from below poverty level to an income in the top 7% of the country. That is what it means to never let a crisis go to waste.
