The US Supreme Court ruled that the current administration ( veggie joe) has the authority to end Title 42. The immigration policy that was established by PRESIDENT TRUMP, that required asylum seekers to wait in mexico while their asylum petitions were been processed. The ruling in part reads, The White House has the power to change directions in immigration policy even drastic reversals of policy. So it is clear now that President Trump had the authority to rescind Obama's executive order DACA, a policy that deferred the deportation of some illegal aliens, the so called dreamers. Obama not only deferred their deportation but gave them other rights that illegal aliens are not entitled to. In a previous ruling The Supreme Court ruled that in attempting to rescind DACA President Trump had not taken into account how rescinding DACA was going affect these illegal aliens under daca. for me that made no sense. with the latest Supreme Court Ruling that crap ended. President Trump was right. President Trump did not have to take into account how his immigration policies affected illegal aliens.

stand back
there will be a border stampede
Sounds like the flow has been pretty steady, unfortunately. Doubt we see a fresh disastrous stampede, like Joe triggered, day two of his administration.

This wasn't Title 42.
Two separate issues.

The Supreme Court simply reaffirmed that a president is responsible for conducting American foreign policy.

What the Supreme Court is doing is taking power away from from those who should not have it and giving it those who should according to the US constitution.

It is the same issue. What can the sitting president do in regard to immigration policies . The US Supreme Court ruled the sitting President can change the direction of the immigration policies set by the former President. He can do even drastic reversals of the former Presidents policies. So veggie joe can end the policy of Title 42 which was set by President Trump. In the same manner President had the authority to rescind Daca , a policy set by Obama.

A president can alter policy, but he can't change the law. The so called "Remain in Mexico" policy, which is what I think you are actually referring to was just that. Policy, not law.

The development of foreign policy lies strictly in the hands of sitting US president.

you are right. A president does not make laws or change the law. as you say he can alter policy. The Supreme Court stated a sitting president can the change direction of immigration policy, even drastic reversals of existing immigration policies. which is the same thing as altering a policy. President Trump set in place the policy of Remain in Mexico, known as Title 42. The Supreme Court ruled that the sitting president in this case ,veggie joe has the authority to end it. In the same manner Obama with an executive order established his deferred action policy for certain illegal aliens. known as DACA. When Donald Trump became President he too had the authority as a sitting president to alter policy as you say and end DACA.
