Supreme Court Nominee...Biggest Issue 2016

Oh, we're going back to installing supreme court justices?
POTUS nominates them. Do you want a socialist loose constructionist Justice? Or do want a strict constructionist Liberty minded individual for the High Court?

Loose construction is what the Founders intended.

"Some men look at constitutions with sanctimonious reverence, and deem them like the ark of the Covenant, too sacred to be touched. They ascribe to the men of the preceding age a wisdom more than human, and suppose what they did to be beyond amendment... laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind... as that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, institutions must advance also, to keep pace with the times.... We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain forever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors." Thomas Jefferson (on reform of the Virginia Constitution)

I disagree. It is the foundation upon which our house of state rest. Remove it and the house crumbles. I would also like to see the 14th Amendment overturned with a subsequent amendment.

They included Article 5 to allow the States to make changes as needed. They didn't intend for ignorant people to ignore it or decide it doesn't say what it says.

14th, 15th,16th, 23rd, and 26th, must all go.

States rights. We have a system of federalism. The national governments existence is only because the states allowed it.

I want the senate to do it's fucking job for a change.

They did, they advised the president that they were withholding consent. He's free to nominate someone else.
