Story from my wife, do you see this often in your hospital waiting rooms?

My dad had was in the ER for 7 hours and then taken to a hospital 3 hours away.

That's in the States. So, let's cut the shit on the scare stories on "socialized" health care. The speed in which you can obtain certain types of surgeries in Canada depends on where you live. Canada is a mixture.

The ER in most hospitals here is usually overcrowded. There is no alternative after 6. Urgent Care places close about 8.

Healthcare is only one component of socialism you should be concerned about. Maybe not even the most worrisome, depending on your station in life.

Depending on my station? Fuck off with that shit. Socialism isn't coming to the US. There must be an election around the corner--it's time for another Red Scare.

List all of the policies presented by Trumps opponents and tell me that socialism isn't being pushed aggressively.

America knows not what they are in for. It's already beginning with social media and public shaming which is destroying careers and lives.

The US will never be a Communist country. Ever. Neither the Democrats or the Republicans are interested in it. The Democratic party is right wing. The only reason that you would continue that line of reasoning is to politically demonize the other party.

I don't work for any party, I don't set their policies. Surely you've heard some of the policies being pushed, you can list them all from the Green New Deal to healthcare for all (including illegal citizens), to eliminating all student debt. Plenty more to list, all very costly, big government programs that hurt free market capitalism.

There is a debate today for the Dems, let's hear their policies. No one need demonize what others are openly presenting.

They don't have any policies. We have been waiting on that. They have some feel good crowd pleasing slogans. They have some stuff they stand for. Again. That's not policy. Policies have details. Watch what they do.

Warren, de Blasio raise hands in support of scrapping private insurance

Warren and de Blasio were the only candidates on stage to raise their hands when asked if they were in favor of abolishing private insurance.

The two candidates represent the progressive wing of the party on Wednesday night’s stage, highlighting the divide in the Democratic Party on the issue.

Warren referred to health care as a “human right” when addressing the issue, while De Blasio went on the offensive against O’Rourke on the stage.

Especially when the recieving facility is the entity creating the paper

But i digress, i suppose it's hard for some to be objective of our system , given comparisson to other systems aside, we've changed.....and i mean changed a LOT over time.

Take a ride in the wayback machine to say, '65 or so.....doctors made house calls....littlle black bag of tricks, etc....the medical community was literally a service industry (let's give the nod to mom's who were the original emt's here please)

FF to '19.....you've a primary care physician , who will most likely only assess (read- insurance cabal gatekeeper), and create referals , then you'll wait 2-3 weeks to actually see a physician that's do anything, and even s/he may refere you to specialists.

Now one can circumvent this all w/ ER visitation, which is something along the lines of $1000 admissions alone, but one is often merely stabilized for future fixes there as well.

Add to this JACHO is killing off ER's in pandemic proportions, to where 'Urgent Care' facilities are springing up in response......one hails to doctrine, the other does not need to

Story told from my wife when she was at the hospital for her physio. Guy in the waiting room of the hospital, been there several hours, blood all over his shirt, soaked, still bleeding on the floor, bone on his arm exposed as he cut himself accidentally with a chainsaw.

This is socialized medicine. Or maybe he just isn't popular with the Powers that Be, let him sit awhile and learn a lesson...

How did you wife know how long he was there. Did she talk to him?

It happens down here in for profit healthcare get real...

I call BS, there is NO WAY a man bleeding with a compound fracture would be left bleeding in an ER waiting room in America even for a few minutes let alone hours.

And probably not in Canada either.
