Stimulus deal. McConnell said he would look at 2 trillion deal and give it a vote.

McConnell Says White House-Backed Stimulus Bill Would Get Senate Floor Vote

At a press conference on Tuesday, McConnell told reporters that the Senate would bring a bill passed by the House, and supported by President Trump, to the floor “at some point,” though he did not specify how soon after passage that might be.

McConnell stopped short of saying he would personally back the bill, let alone whip enough GOP senators to avoid a filibuster, stating “we would have to see what it was first… if a deal is announced, it would have to be written and people would have to take a look at it.”
Despite advocating a $500 billion “skinny” stimulus bill – not including stimulus checks – that is slated to be voted on by the Senate Wednesday, McConnell did not repeat his rejection of the $1.8 trillion to $2.2 trillion price tag called for by Democrats and Trump.
Queen Nancy will shoot it down. Again.

She needs voters desperate and afraid, but it ain't working. It has backfired so badly that turbo democrat news commentators are calling her out in an effort to save the party.

Trump and Nancy seem to be the ones supporting it. Trump said he would even like to see a larger bill.

We need more automatic stabilization of our economy to better promote the general welfare.

Does this mean that McConnell is now prepared to sacrifice the ACB nomination? He said he doesn't have time to do both.

Given the level of resistance by the American public to this nomination, and its potential to cost seats in the Senate, McConnell may be willing to hold back on pushing the nomination through before election, to ensure Republicans retain the Senate in a Democratic Presidency.

Interesting......I suppose it depends on what their polling is telling them.

Earlier this week Mitch said giving money to workers would mean they would refuse to return to work. Republicans don’t want a stimulus. And we don’t have enough time to confirm ACB, and pass a stimulus.

Trump is saying he wants a stimulus.

Then he said R’s need to hold onto the Senate to block Biden’s agenda.

Today he Brought a stimulus bill to the floor. Either R’s Senators are refusing to confirm ACB or Mitch is pandering for votes.

They will still have time to confirm ACB after the election before the current term ends but there’s no going back if D’s hold the Senate come Jan 21st.

Of course they would.
