A few months ago I bought cheap new laptop computer (Acer Aspire 5) because my old laptop got crushed sorta like a lazy black cat sleeping in the shade of a car tire. One of the primary reasons that I liked the model was because of the keyboard. I liked the snappy action of the keys compared to other models.

Then one day I took a big gulp of iced tea, and read a comment on USMB, I don't remember what thread it was or what poster it was that made me laugh unexpectedly and instantaneously, but I spit my drink all over it. And since the keyboard is recessed, gravity directed it straight into the keyboard!

So I immediately powered it off, turned it upside down, opened up the back cover and disconnected the battery, and just left it alone to air dry out for a few days.

And ever since then the keyboard is stickier than something that's been used to fap off on porno for a decade.

Any tips on how to fix this problem would be appreciated. How do you fix a sticky keyboard?

Here ya go. Ya don't have to replace it just use the video to show how to take it apart and clean it.

Pop all the keys in the sticky area off, put them in a bucket of hot soapy water. Wipe affected area with damp soapy then just damp rag.
If it was me, I'd just hit a yard sale Saturday AM and pick one up for $2-$5
