If I remember correctly Plague is based on a BACTERIUM that lives in mammals and is FLEA borne------YERSINIA PESTIS in the little bug's mouth.
after the bug bites the mammal------its been around a
long time----AVOID FLEAS especially if you live near
squirrels. It is treatable with hot shot antibiotics
like Gentamicin and maybe levoquin---I am not sure.
