I wonder how much finance, wages, sales, etc have been lost because somebody showed up at 2 only to be told, "oh no, they meant 2 o'clock lie-to-ourselves time. They all left. They're all pretending it's three o'clock now".

It means instead of setting your clocks ahead 1 hr , you'd set it ahead 2hrs .
If the actual time was 6:am the clocks would read 8 am.
