McCarthy is in a bind..if he condemns and sanctions Greene..he risks further splitting the party...a third party would be the death knell to Republican hopes of regaining power. With Mitt making his bid to control the moderate Republicans and the Trumpkin faction hoping to be the future---the very existence of the Republican party is being called into question.
