Daisy needs more thyroid medicine this week. The stuff lasts about half a year, but costs $55 a bottle. It is in liquid form for kitties. Problem is, you can buy tablets for $0.14 a pill, but it needs to be compounded. A bottle like I need should cost me about $10 if I can compound it myself. Just not sure how to do that yet. This medicine is rather exacting and dangerous to the cat if not done properly. Anybody else in the same situation?

I once tried to get my goldfish to have sex by grinding up viagra and mixing it with their fish food. All it did was make them swim in circles really fast for a few days.

Are you willing to take the chance with doing that yourself? Ive got medical experience.... pharmacology.... and i still would not do that.

The surgeries have removed the thyroid glands syrenn. My Dad is a retired pharmacist and I have a strong science background. The current medication is .6mg, which is the exact amount in one of the strengths in a tablet form. For cats that doseage is in suspension. Just need to determine what is in the suspension and in what quantity. Then I just continue with the .5ml single daily doseage. Yes, it does need to be exact, too much or too little have consequences here.
