“Socialized Healthcare will bankrupt us”; OH REALLY? Isnt Capitalist Medicine doing that RIGHT NOW????

- So capitalist healthcare charges us $20,000 for some stitches and $80 per Aspirin. $600 for a $10 insulin shot

We don't have capitalist health care; that's why $80 for aspirin. It's inconceivable that you don't know that, but then you are liberal and liberal intelligence is inconceivably absent.

The U.S. pays too much for the healthcare it receives and gets too little.
you can say the same thing about anything you have to pay for,,,
Sounds like you dont know how to get the most quality for your buck. Most of the things I buy are worth what I pay.

my point was you can say it and it not be a fact,,,
Thats not a point or a fact. Its simply you guessing based on your lack of knowledge.

knowledge of what??
How to purchase quality items.
I do know how to do that,,,that doesnt mean a quality item isnt over priced,,,

as for getting your moneys worth,,welll thats all a matter of perspective of the person that made the purchase,,,
Simple solution. If its over priced dont purchase it.

Thats correct. its a matter of someones perspective and all my friends in other countries with free health care feel they are getting their moneys worth.
who are you to tell me whether I can purchase it or not???

if I want to pay more for a quality product thats my choice,,,
so I like many freedom loving people dont mind paying more for private healthcare if its a better product than what the government could offer and it keeps us free,,,
and our choice doesnt involve force like yours does
I'm you're intellectual superior and you should always listen to what I tell you to do.

I dont care if you do pay more but that wasnt the point there skippy. Dont get sidetracked and wander off into the weeds. :)
I'm thinking at your age if thats what you want you still have time to move ,,,
I'd rather fight to make it a reality here in this country before I leave.
for some people losing battles are the funnest to fight,,,first you have to change the constitution and that aint gonna happen in our lifetimes,,,
Theres nothing in the constitution that forbids free healthcare. The constitution simply guarantees certain rights. Laws are what changes.
so youve never read it,,,figures,,,
Yes i've read it. You should quote where it forbids free healthcare instead of assuming I have never read it. Can you do that?

its called the 9-10th amendments

So let me get this right.
- We cant have socialized healthcare bc it will bankrupt us all
- So capitalist healthcare charges us $20,000 for some stitches and $80 per Aspirin. $600 for a $10 insulin shot

And they rake in countless BILLIONS on these absurd prices.

Then a bad bug breaks out. VERY predictable if you look at history.

And the healthcare industry whines to govt saying “We dont have enough gloves and masks”, after a 4 week even and only 35,000 cases in America

SO NOW the healthcare industry says “Oh since WE cant handle this surge and we dont want to be overworked and overwhelmed we need ALL OF YOU to lose your jobs and businesses until WE can adapt.....then you all can go back to work and THEN we can get back to gouging you and your employers insurance for $50,000 for a broken ankle.”

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE ****ING JOKING ME RIGHT?
I wish I had time to tell you what a useful idiot you are,,in fact I do have the time but wont waste it on you,,,

but if you would like look at the countries with universal healthcare and you will see they are letting the old people die without care,,

Isnt that true “capitalism”?? Let the strong survive right?
Republicans only like socialism when it means their businesses are going to go bankrupt. You see they cant justify the tinkle down economics if the one doing the tinkling has nothing to give. Its a very large gaping hole in their philosophy.
WELL they are on the left of the political spectrum and is one of the many reasons I aint one and dont vote for them,,,
Republicans are not on the left. They are on the right of the political spectrum.
not in this country,,,youre thinking of the European spectrum,,,
yes in this country...youre thinking of the pre Southern Strategy republicans.

sorry not in this country,,,
the right is anarchy and the left is total government with the constitution in the middle,,,
and the republicans are to the left of the constitution and their record proves it,,,and still moving daily,,,

just because they are not as far left as dems doesnt mean they are not on the left,,,
Excuse me if someone has said this without my seeing it, but "anarchy" is in no way "right" politically.
"Total government" would be authoritarian, and while fascism is authoritarian and right, it is not anarchy. Marxism usually has expressed itself as authoritarian and is to the left, but also is not anarchy. Anarchy is, by definition, extra-political and would see a world where everything social were decided on and in the moment. It is the stuff of a science fiction movie which, if done perfectly, might be mildly interesting.

WTF!!!!
if anarchy isnt the right then where does it sit in our political system???
the left is total government( choose yours) the right is anarchy with no government and the constitution sits in the middle,,,
The post explained this to the best of the poster's ability. Did anyone else have trouble with it?

The poster is an idiot who doesn't understand that "anarchy" is neither left nor right, but is the absence of politics. I think he took a political science class once and fancies himself clever, but he doesn't have the common sense God gave a goose.
anarchy is absence of government so by definition it is part of the political spectrum/freedom index ,,,left is total government and right is anarchy with the constitution sitting in the middle

now go do some knitting and shut the fuck up,,,

The absence of government is not synonymous with “freedom”, nor is totalitarianism left wing. There are many right wing totalitarians as well. Anarchy is the opposite of totalitarianism and can be either right or left wing.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE ****ING JOKING ME RIGHT?

Yes, concur. Good summation

No easy answer.

We need socialized for average / poor people and regular healthcare for the rich. We need a 2 system America. But socialized will take $$ from non-socialized and then our current greedy healthcare can't rape the system any more. So they won't go for it. They would rather destroy the country than take less $$.

Capitalism worked in the past before greed fucked it over and the borders were dropped. Once all the illegals flooded in everything went to hell. We did not live within our means and built an unsustainable word that needed illegal labor to support it. Illegals are used to living 5 or 10 in a room like rats. The greedy landlords could charge $300 each and get $3000 for a 1 bedroom apt. Suddenly the native Americans (not Indians) were shut out of the market because of this.

Mark URSS lr.jpg

Only solution is what we got, a slow or fast destruction of America until someone other country takes us over. If we could only hire China, Mehico or Cuba to do our healthcare we could pay 10% on the dollar!

edit...real socialized healthcare is it own little world. Kinda like Kaiser Healthcare. The gov run system has it own MD's hospitals etc. and they pay controlled fees. It may not be as good as the non-socialized system. But in the average Joe or Janes case, it would not matter. Their choice would be get free class B socialized healthcare or get 0% of the other unaffordable healthcare.

You see our politicians are incompetent, whether rep or dem, so they could not run such a thing. No answer, but America will keep destroying itself from within through greed and cheap labor.

Oh I forgot

[The Congress shall have Power] To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States

Healthcare will certainly be looked at differently in light of this current situation.

- So capitalist healthcare charges us $20,000 for some stitches and $80 per Aspirin. $600 for a $10 insulin shot
Obviously its not capitalist health care. Capitalism is competitive so only the lowest prices survive. Democrats made capitalism illegal in healthcare. Totally astounding that you don't know that! But then this is very typical of liberalism. See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance. What hope is there for our country with so many liberals around?

"Capitalism" is not a religion. It is not humanist. It is an economic system based upon liquid capital availability and the generation of profit. As such, there is no inherent incentive to do anything other than profit. Thus, it is essentially amoral. Not immoral, not evil, not good, just a way to function. It values money and possessions.
Where it is in error is that the true basis for all value is obscured.

"Capitalism" is not a religion. It is not humanist.
Yes it is like a religion. It is based on gift giving and grew out of the tradition of sharing resources. Why not read the history? People would give gifts to each other and always felt there was an obligation to give in return. Under modern capitalism if you don't provide the best jobs and products( gifts), a competitor gift giver will and you will go bankrupt!!

Under capitalism you say, how can I help you, under socialism you say, where is my free stuff. Capitalism is giving while socialism is taking.

. As such, there is no inherent incentive to do anything other than profit.
Totally backwards of course. If one competitor cares about his workers and customers and another cares about profits which will go bankrupt? If you go to business school it is the first thing they teach you. I guess you skipped business school and studied 19th century Marxism instead?

It values money and possessions.

It values love and caring and crushes anything else. Try going in to business and offer inferior jobs and products. Can you guess what would happen? You have to wonder who led you so far astray and if you should hold them accountable or simply blame yourself?
