Socialism doesn't scare them anymore

So what you'r
I still don't get the logic behind shaming "fence sitters". If we were all "fence sitters" we'd have a lot better government.

I think we'd have a better government with a more non-biased MSM who is less motivated by money than they are honesty. We ween what all the Presidents went through, their family, even children at times. Who wants to subject themselves and their loved ones to all that in order to win a government job?

I thought you were a capitalist? Why would a capitalist think that the MSM should not be motivated by money? Isn't the free market sacred to you?

Or is your idea of capitalism a free market for a select few, while the rest are supposed to be good little slaves that only exist to serve you?

But I do agree - anyone that WANTS to be President has to be CRAZY and should be automatically barred from the position (Catch 22).

The Presidency should be filled by conscripture only.

They can still make money without lying to the people or exaggerating stories. It seems that politics has seeped into every nook and cranny in our society today including the press. Years ago before cable television, the media did lean left, but they didn't lie about the right either. They didn't tell only part of the story, they also told the part of the story that explained the Republicans position.

Today the MSM is more or less to brainwash people. You can read the results in USMB. We have leftists out here blaiming a Republican President for Democrats destroying Democrat cities, all because of what a cop in another Democrat city did to a black guy. Nobody with an ounce of common sense can come to that conclusion. It's brainwashing that does it.

So what you're saying is that businesses should have restrictions that ensure that they don't violate the public interest...correct?

"Freedom of the Press is for those who own one"

I didn't say that either. Just pointing out we would have better candidates to choose from if the MSM was not like it is today. I'm also pointing out how politicized our media is.
And I'm just pointing out that the same rules of capitalism that you want applied to yourself should apply to everyone - including the MSM.

I, on the other hand, believe that there should be regulation to ensure that all business do not violate the public's interest.

They do apply to the MSM. The problem is people keep going to their web sites, sending them emails, participate in their blogs, and that activity is used to sell advertising in which they make money.

It's kind of like the tobacco thing years ago. The tobacco companies held the position there was nothing wrong with smoking cigarettes. In other words, they lied to the people to make profit, and yes, were sued repeatedly for it later on.

Yes, the MSM is a for profit business. I do agree that they do not tell the whole truth - they lie by omission.

Their failure to openly and honestly discuss the truth about the Russian Covid-19 vaccine despite the number of people dying is a glaring example - they wouldn't want to undermine the AMA or American pharma companies.

But, it used to be that the news media made a clear distinction between reporting news and editorializing. It was FOX new that first stopped making that distinction, and it was FOX new that became very clearly and obviously politically biased.

Once the other news media saw how profitable it was for FOX to have non-stop editorializing, they followed suit.

I think that is true of the non-cable networks, but CNN and MSNBC are what they always were. Yes, Fox is right leaning, but it's only a counter station to all the others on cable and free television. One station vs all them.

I agree to some extent that CNN has always leaned to the middle (which you'd consider the left), but they were subtle about it.

FOX has been from the start obviously and blatantly far to the right.

Fox has leftists on all day to speak for themelves.

And CNN leans to the middle?

:auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

How far left are you? Can you even stand up?

FOX has always paid people to pretend they're liberals and to intentionally lose the arguments. The ultimate live strawmen!!

That started with Crossfire years ago.

Saying something you don't want to believe does not make someone a leftist.

Crossfire was on CNN, dumb ass.

And obviously you don't watch Fox since you don't know all the leftists they have on there. They're complete asses, that they "lose on purpose" is just you digging deeper and deeper into flagrant ignorance.

:dig:

The only thing worse than having all those leftists on Fox is not having them and turning into an echo chamber like the leftist media that you worship

Oh wow, I forgot which network a show that closed many years ago was on...that make me a dumbass?

All I remember is that the 'liberal' on Crossfire was an idiot.

I watch FOX enough to know that most 'liberals' are strawmen.

It does make you a dumb ass to forget what network Crossfire was on when you specifically used that as an example of Fox bias, yes.

What happened to all this intelligence you just crowed about? Do you need a reboot?

So what you're saying is that you're too stupid to discuss 'Free Markets vs. Regulated markets' so you derailed the thread by nit picking a minor error that I made about which network carried 'Crossfire'.

Just the fact that CNN carried 'Crossfire' is proof that it was not a left leaning network.

Fox has Geraldo on their network. What about Chris Wallace? Alan Colmes was as left as you can get, and he was a host with Hannity before he went on his own. Judge Napolitano has been pretty left leaning at times, and I believe he hates Trump. They hired Juan Williams after he got fired from a liberal radio station, and he brings the liberal side to stories and issues all the time. Even guests like Dennis Kucinich appears for comments on issues.

Does that mean Fox leans left too?

Former DNC chair Donna Brazille is a regularMaria Harf. Arthelle Nevill. Tom Perez. Bob Beckle. Just a few. There are so many more.

Richard-H is full of shit. He never read the Communist Manifesto. Obviously he's never watched Fox News. He just thinks what he's told to think

Biden isn't an ass. That's the problem. He comes of as moderate and reasonable compared to Trump - but he's not. He's very dangerous. And he's going to win because people don't see that. All they see is a reasonable candidate against an unhinged clown.

Surveys say your wrong. They see much more than that.

Wow, given that 42% of voters are Trumpbots, you can't even convince all Trumpbots that Biden has dementia.

Nobody is trying to convince anybody of anything. All you have to do is watch the guy for more than ten minutes to conclude it for yourself.

Biden did well enough at the primary debates. I haven't seen any sign of dementia from him since then. I have seen signs of fatigue...he ain't a spring chicken.

Once the Presidential debates are over, you're gonna have to find a new line of bullshit!

I don't think so because it's likely Trump will win and we'll never hear from Creepy Joe again. And no, I don't buy the polls either, just like I didn't buy them during the Hillary run.

I also think that Joe is not going to debate Trump. It would be the worst thing he could do for his campaign. Somehow he or his people will find a way out of it. Harris will gladly debate, but not Joe.

No matter what side you choose, most can agree Joe is too inept at his age to do the job, which means Harris will actually be making all the decisions. She got 2% of the Democrat vote while running for the Presidential nomination. It's something you on the left really need to consider.

I think you're in for a rude awakening when Biden debates Trump.

Saying that Biden is too inept to do the job is a laugh. Trump has always been too inept to do the job whatever his age.

If you hadn't noticed...TRUMP IS AN IDIOT!

You may not like Trump personally, a lot of people don't, but when I vote for a representative, I'm voting for somebody that I want working for me, just like a business.

Biden spent 40 years in government and accomplished nothing. Trump gave us a booming economy at record levels, pretty much has the southern border under control in spite of all the resistance from Democrats, he lost over a billion dollars of personal net worth since he announced his candidacy, and donates all his presidential paychecks. He's a guy that really wants to do the job.

Now we have a choice because hopefully, this virus will meet it's end. Do we put a person who's already proven himself to get us back on track, or a guy that's more confused than a baby in a topless bar?

Biden's platform, or what he discussed before running for President: He wants to increase taxes on all our job providers when we need them the most. He said he'd lockdown the entire country if the virus is still here when he gets in, and our medical experts tell him to which will put us in a depression. He wants to increase capital gains taxes which will slow investments in the market where many of us have our growing IRA. He and Cory Booker made plans to destroy the middle-class suburbs by placing their high crime, low income people into these now safe places. They will close down stores, cause massive property value losses, and force good people out of the city and into the country. He is against fracking, and teamed up with a VP who in her bid for the presidential nomination, said she would sign an EO on day one to stop all fracking in this country.

There is really no real choice here even if you hate Trump. So you have to decide: Do you hate Trump more, or do you hate our country more? Biden said on day one, the wall stops getting built, and I'd be willing to bet he'll reverse all the successful policies Trump made to stop the invasion of our country.

The reason socialism doesn't scare them is because capitalism, as represented by the ignorance, hatred and bigotry of Trumpsters, does.

LOL, and the emotional Democrat lashes out ...

An authoritarian Trumpsucker deflects.

The lone libertarian Biden supporter rides again. Hiyo Silver! Away!

The sad pretend libertarian who sucks Trump's cock, slithers away - again.

Yet you're still the only libertarian on the site who thinks Biden is better, Democrat apologist

Fuck you. I don't think Biden is better. And I'm not a Democrat apologist. That's how you see it, because you've swallowed the LO2E poison. You've sold your soul out of fear.

But let's get back to the point - you know, the thing you're trying to deflect away from by attacking me: People are turning to socialism because they see Trump's deplorables as the face of capitalism. If didn't know better, if I thought Trumpsters were what capitalism was all about, I'd reject it too. But I do know better. Trump, and his followers, have no respect for capitalism, free markets or liberty. They simply get off on strong-man authoritarianism.

Thanks for chiming in. I really don't watch a lot of Fox, but I often watch Hannity and never miss a Laura show. I forget the names of her liberal gusts she has on all the time. Hannity has repeatedly invited Joe Biden for an hour long interview. Never got a response.

I didn't watch a ton of Fox before the coronavirus. I watched The Five every day and the Gutfeld show which is once a week. I had no idea who was on all day. I've watched it a lot more since I've been working at home full time and work travel is zero. I don't watch it all the time, but enough that I know who the players are. Fox has leftists on all the time. Totally different from CNN and fake news
Gutfeld...
A Libertarian Globalist scumbag who hated Trump until the second Trump won the nomination; now he's Trump's biggest advocate.

To be quite honest I could never stand the guy. I hate people who think they're funny, or try to be funny and they're not. If you're going to try and make comedy out of politics, you have to be a comic genius. Politics is hard to make comedy out of successfully.

Oh please. Polls have shown throughout the years, brainwashed college kids have been moving more and more towards Socialism, even during DumBama's time in office. It's bad parenting where kids were raised to believe they live in a society that owes them for whatever reason.

The scumbag would mock any professional who lost their career due to globalism.
There are very few personalities on Fox who weren't scumbags before Trump.
Laura Ingraham kept getting fired from WABC Radio because she was always MAGA but her fans would force the Globalist scumbags owners to hire her back.
Steve Hilton and Tucker Carlson are great.

Young people are not happy with the unequal world they’ve inherited. Millennials are embracing Socialism because unfettered capitalism failed them. Many grew up in cars or tenement slums during the great recession when GW Bush's call for "deregulation" allowed financial institutions to peddle toxic mortgage packages to anyone with a pulse, and ratings institutions such as Standard and Poor's looked the other way. As the economy crashed, and things got worse, the right wing refused to agree lend even a small a hand to the many who suffered needlessly, while the few at the top became wealthier still.

Young people, along with women and minorities watched as the economy slowly healed over the next 8 years with President Obama at the helm, and witnessed 30 million Americans who previously had little or no healthcare benefits could now see a doctor without medical bankruptcy in the back of their minds. The right wing screamed SOCIALISM! of course, but they didn't care - They now had medical coverage. They also watched Donald Trump do everything in his power to strip them and their families of that protection, while offering nothing to replace it with except - "Go see your insurance man"

Sorry Republicans - Socialism doesn't scare them anymore... :bye1:

Millennials flocked like winged rats into the modern overinflated corporate world hoping to make six figure salaries for running cyber businesses out of Starbucks. What the FUCK are you talking about "capitalism" failed them?? THEY brought capitalism to a new level! Who the hell do you think staffs these modern mega corporations anyway? It sure as hell isn't baby boomers! Even us GenX'ers are gearing up to retire.

Not familiar with Steve, but I'll watch Tucker once in a great while if nothing is on. Laura is my favorite but she's pushing too much of this going back to school stuff. She's entitled to what she believes, but she defeated the home school argument when she talks about kids getting depressed, committing suicide, and losing touch with kids their own age.

Steve Hilton (Sunday night) was Fox's Donald J Trump (MAGA) before Trump entered politics.
My son introduced me to Hilton and I was shocked that Hilton was never fired.

:bye1:

Right now, in this day and age we have state capitalism which is throwing free monies to companies to stay afloat along with free money, food, electric and other commodities being given for free and you think that there is no socialism in the USA? What did you do with yer twelve hundred bucks from Uncle Sam?
Young people are not happy with the unequal world they’ve inherited

No. Young people are not happy because success, here in our America, requires years of hard work, sacrifice and personal responsibility.

And a huge reliance on the Socialist actions of the Federal Reserve.

Who benefits from these socialist actions by the government and the Fed? It sure appears that the extreme wealthy are the main beneficiaries.

Look Beggars, we aren't all equal, we'll never be equal...go get yours and I'll go get mine...It's just that simple.
I've never once cared about the guy on the hill above me who has more or makes more than I do.....Good for him.
STOP BEGGING AND STOP BEGGING TO BE EQUAL!

Why does it piss you off that I was able to pave my own path without stealing from others?

There's nothing "Libertarian" in thinking grown adults should be expected to pave their own way and be self sufficient. Who told you otherwise?
