You might be right about the right failing to back their words, but I suspect this has a lot to do with how the Orange Menace reacts. If he refuses to concede and screams that the election is a fraud and it was stolen from him, which he is very likely to do, his more radical supporters will take to the street.

You might recall the armed demonstrators who descended on Michigan’s state capitol, to protest the democrat governors Covid restrictions.
