Yes and that is what should have happened but before they reached the Capitol Building. That area is out of bounds to the general public anyone breaching it, is a threat to National Security, it being the seat of government in the US.
Think what could have happened if the rioters pulled out handguns and knives and went on to kill all the government officials in the building Pelosi, Pence etc. Security simply failed to function by not taking lethal action as soon as the outer perimeter was breached.

Floyd was a huge, powerful guy who hated the police and was resisting arrest. He was hopped up on Fentanyl, an incredibly powerful pain killer and crystal meth, giving him incredible strength, paranoia, hallucinations and other things. The first thing police are taught to do is get the suspect on the ground.

No one is saying or has said that he deserved to be killed, that's just foolish and saying that just makes you look even more foolish than usual. Why do that?

With all due respect...security failed when the people in charge of security didn't act when they were told days before the protest that there was a very good chance it would become violent! So why didn't they? Was it because they wanted to see the Capital attacked? The Capital Police Chief requested multiple times to have National Guard troops assigned to the Capital to help with security and he was ignored. Who made the call on that and what was their reason for doing so?
