So much for the claim it's about "Illegal" Immigration

You don’t have to deport as many when you don’t let illegals in in the first place. Derp. Chimpy waved millions in. Trump stopped it cold.

Actually, no, Biden did when he tightened up Asylum requirements.

The number of border crossings dropped to 25K a month by Jan 2025.

Which has nothing to do with making it harder to legally immigrate, which is what Trump is doing.

Make it harder to legally immigrate, you just make illegally immigrating more attractive.

Do you know any of the migrant kids that were trafficked to the brothels and meat packing plants during the Biden administration?

Very few. Funny how ICE never seems to find these brothels you are on about.

Not sure how this has anything to do with Trump making it harder for people who are legally immigrating.

Do you know any of the migrant kids that were lost by health and human services under the Biden administration?
HHS wasn't in charge of tracking kids.

Not sure how this has anything to do with Trump making it harder for people who are legally immigrating.

Do you know any of the migrants who commit violent crimes, then get released on bail by blue judges who help them escape ICE deportation?

Very few. Migrants are less likely to commit crimes specifically because it would screw up their cases.

Not sure how this has anything to do with Trump making it harder for people who are legally immigrating.

If all you know is the company you hire to mow your lawn, then of course you are not seeing the whole picture.

I know more about the immigration process than you do, being the son of an immigrant and the husband of an immigrant.

partly right.

But when their visas expire, their continued presence here ceases to be “legal.” So, they become illegal aliens at that time.

The governmental purpose thus becomes just as important as the presence of any other illegal alien.

You are actually objecting to a more orderly and reasonable process. And you still can’t support your allegations of “racism” — beyond your mere ignorant beliefs.

Except it's not a more "orderly" process, it's just making life harder for people who are trying to follow the rules.

It's going to have the opposite effect.

ICE can't catch the 14 or so undocumented immigrants who are here now, they are going to push millions of people who were following the rules into the "illegal" category.

As I said, Chimpy made it very hard for white unlikely Democrat voters to come here legally. 17 years for Romania.

We often hear the claim from MAGA racists that they aren't against immigration, they are against ILLEGAL immigration.

And then they pull stuff like this.

Foreigners in the U.S. who want a green card will need to leave and apply in their home country, the Trump administration announced Friday, in a surprise change to a longstanding policy that sowed confusion and concern among aid groups, immigration lawyers and immigrants.

For over half a century, foreign nationals with legal status have been able to apply for and complete the entire process for permanent residence in the United States — including individuals married to U.S. citizens, holders of work and student visas, and refugees and political asylum seekers, among others.

The changes comes on top of steps the administration has already taken to restrict and limit entry for people from dozens of countries. In some cases, there are outright bans on travel from those countries, while people from others face pauses in visa processing. Experts and attorneys warned that forcing people from those countries to return home to apply for a green card would result in them being barred from coming back.

Joe's Comment - This will probably make the problem worse, not better. It just means that out of 13 million or so immigrants with some level of legal status won't go home, they'll go underground.
Underground good then they will starve and be force to deport themselves

As I said, Chimpy made it very hard for white unlikely Democrat voters to come here legally. 17 years for Romania.

Where is your link to "17 years for Romania"?

The problem is, this policy will make it harder for a Romanian immigrant to get a green card. If he or she came here on a Student, Tourist, or Work visa and now wants to become a permanent resident, they have to go back to Romania and reapply.

Unlikely. People will just keep hiring them off the books.

What your Orange Fuhrer is avoiding is going after his rich buddies who hire undocumented immigrants.

Why do you think that is?
Nope they can be prosecuted making it not worth the risk.

Oh underground. Then find them and deport them. That was easy.

What Democrats do not seem to internalize is that if a person from France say, comes to the U.S. on a visa, they are still French. Any important and life-changing document applications need to be completed in France.

If they refuse to go back to France even long enought to fill out paperwork, that is a good indication that they have no plans to ever leave the U.S. whether they are granted permanent residency or not. That disrespect for our laws is reason enough not to want them here.

This is from personal experience in 2012.
Trump's policy keeps people from abusing the system.

Very few. Funny how ICE never seems to find these brothels you are on about.
ICE is not in the brothel hunting business. Very few law-enforcement agencies spend much resources on arresting pimps and madams. That's what makes it so easy for children to be trafficked into sex slavery, especially in blue cities.
Not sure how this has anything to do with Trump making it harder for people who are legally immigrating.
You said "most immigrants I know," not "most legal immigrants I know."
HHS wasn't in charge of tracking kids.
Under Biden, they were not. But they were supposed to be:

HHS Data Summary:
From October 2020 to September 2024, HHS cared for 468,736 unaccompanied migrant children. From October 2024 to June 2025, HHS has cared for 21,399 unaccompanied migrant children.

Background checks
According to a summary of data provided by HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement, from January 2021 to January 2025, 11,488 migrant children were placed with unvetted sponsors who were not their parent or legal guardian, and who were not fingerprinted or did not receive a background check. Per U.S. Code 1232(c)(3)(A), sponsors must submit to an FBI criminal history check, based on digital fingerprints, if they are not the parent or legal guardian of a migrant child. The Biden-Harris administration disregarded this law and failed to request or receive fingerprints or background checks for approximately 11 percent of migrant children placed with sponsors who were not their parent or legal guardian.

Under Biden's free-flow border policies, HHS was overwhelmed. Secretary of HHS Xavier Becerra had a duty to speak up and say so. Instead, he let the children be sent to God only knows who and then did not let anyone know that his agency was unable to track them.

Are you talking about legal migrants only or all migrants? Because migrant crime skyrocketed when Biden let unvetted and unvaccinated criminals in. Duh.
Not sure how this has anything to do with Trump making it harder for people who are legally immigrating.

I know more about the immigration process than you do, being the son of an immigrant and the husband of an immigrant.
You didn't even know that health and human services is legally required to do background checks before they hand children over to strangers.

Anyway, you know about those two individual cases. But you know far less about the overall immigration policies and outcome than I. You don't even know that illegal aliens who were criminals in their own countries continue to be criminals in the U.S. and are aided by blue cities with sanctuary policies.

Actually, if these brothels exist, it wouldn't be hard to find them. The cops bust brothels all the time, and then have to sheepishly admit all the women who were there were there voluntarily.

You said "most immigrants I know," not "most legal immigrants I know."
I don't ask an immigrant I know what their legal status is, because it's none of my business. I have worked with dozens over the years, including coworkers at various companies, customers for my business, etc.

15% of America's population is foreign-born right now. You might think it's a bad thing, I think it's fine.

Under Biden, they were not. But they were supposed to be:
Tired talking point. No children were lost.

Are you talking about legal migrants only or all migrants? Because migrant crime skyrocketed when Biden let unvetted and unvaccinated criminals in. Duh.
Actually, Crime declined in the Biden years. It had been declining since the 1990s, except for a spike in 2020 thanks to Trump Plague.

Your story about your wife is bizarre.
I'd ask how so, but you'll probably blurt out something stupid or an attack on family I'll report you for.

And if ICE concentrated on hunting down those people, I'd be all for them.

Instead, they are going after wives of soldiers, housekeepers, gardeners, veterans, and construction workers.

Try to focus, Joe. I never said that the brothels were hard to find.

You were talking about all immigrants, is the point, using the "ones I know" to generalize to all.
15% of America's population is foreign-born right now. You might think it's a bad thing, I think it's fine.
It's a great thing if they are properly vetted and vaccinated.

What was your objection to requiring vaccinations for immigrants? That seems weird for a Democrat.
Tired talking point. No children were lost.

Tell that to the families who lost loved ones to Bidens flood of criminals.
I'd ask how so, but you'll probably blurt out something stupid or an attack on family I'll report you for.
Yes, to keep you from crying to the mods, I already deleted that part. The attack was on you for making up a bizarre story. I doubt any of the characters in the story exist except yourself.
And if ICE concentrated on hunting down those people, I'd be all for them.
Show me any post in which you criticize people for attaking ICE if ICE was hunting down all those people. Or criticized Margarita Hollen for flying down to Venezuala to have lunch with one of those people.
Instead, they are going after wives of soldiers, housekeepers, gardeners, veterans, and construction workers.
Don't "immigrate" illegally is the takeaway from that.

What does that have to do with people who are here legally trying to change their status?

This doesn't effect the person who snuck in illegally, or even the person who was granted asylum.

It affects the student or the H1B worker who may have gotten married, or is trying to start a life here. The ones who followed the rules that you guys insist were bad that undocumented immigrants were breaking.

...
Oh yeah, the women and girls trafficked, abused, hooked on drugs and ultimately disappeared are there "voluntarily."
