CHICAGO (CBS) – Several people were literally camping out in Chicago days early to get a crack at the latest limited-edition Air Jordans.

The sale of the Air Jordan 2 “Just Don” model — $650 per pair for adult sizes – is Saturday. Some enthusiasts tell CBS 2 they’ve been in line since Monday, in the cold.

And we still have idiots saying our middle class is disappearing!
Since when is the "middle class" losing money if they can shell out $650 for a pair of basketball shoes?

About half of American adults – 120.8 million out of 242.1 million – live in middle-income households as of early 2015, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of government data. In percentage terms, 50% of adults now live in middle-income households, 29% in lower-income households, and 21% in upper-income households.

What kind of MYTH is that????

So we raise incomes by charging more for products? No need for minimum wages! Brilliant.

Again another myth! How many people do you think make minimum wage or less???

Among those paid by the hour, 1.3 million earned exactly the prevailing federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. About 1.7 million had wages below the federal minimum. Together, these 3.0 million workers with wages at or below the federal minimum made up 3.9 percent of all hourly paid workers.

The elephant in the room, what does a freakin' pair of tennis shoes cost 650? What is wrong with those who buy them? I would think that with the profit margin on these shows they could be made in America.

Day in the life of a person who has a week to wait in line.

1. Rob convenience store (s)
2. Wait in line to buy shoes
3. Stop off at the welfare office for benefits
4. Go home and sit in from of the TV you boosted last riot and admire your shoes.
