Okay.... So the polls all said for weeks that Trump was going to win Iowa and Cruz was way behind. Marco Rubio was a distant third along with Carson and others. Done deal... nothing Cruz could do to win, especially with the whole ethanol subsidies issue which Trump came out surprisingly in support of. That was thought to be the final nail in the coffin for Cruz.

Following the caucuses, if you listen to the mainstream media, the Big Story was all about Rubio who came in third... who the polls predicted would come in third. Even the No-Spin, Fair-and-Balanced, Bill O'Reily said "Rubio was the winner in Iowa!" All week, the noise from the boob box keeps touting Rubio as the big winner in Iowa. Even though, he came in third, where the polls predicted he would finish. But he did better than expected, therefore... he won! At least, that's the spin coming out of the television this week.

Meanwhile, the guy who had no chance of winning, who the polls predicted would finish second, actually won. The guy who was predicted to win, came in second. But that's not the story... you see... Rubio! That's the story! Cruz earned a week long smearing over a tweet on Twitter where they repeated what CNN reported, that Carson was pulling out of Iowa to return to Florida and urging delegates to caucus for Cruz.

Now, Carson finished fourth... so you'd think there would be some mention of the fact that the "racist GOP" had two Latinos and and African-American among the four leading candidates for the nomination. Nope... Rubio was the winner and Cruz was a sleaze for lying about Carson.... THAT is the story! Got it?

Cruz became the first Latino to ever win electoral delegates in a primary race. Did you hear about that milestone this week? No? What about the fact that Cruz received more votes in Iowa than any candidate in the history of primary caucuses? Nope... didn't hear that one either... Rubio won, Cruz is a sleaze! That's the story and they're sticking to it!

Cruz beat the polls, beat the ethanol lobby in Iowa, beat the governor and his son who endorsed Trump, beat Trump, beat the birtherism smears, beat all the odds and won the damn caucus in spite of massive efforts to attack his campaign from Trump and the establishment GOP. But all you've heard this week is how Rubio won... by finishing third, where he was predicted to finish.

Rubio was a winner because how close he finished behind Trump and the fact that Cruz staff members might have stolen Trump actual victory.

Stole Trump's victory? With a Twitter tweet? LMAO... yeah. that is the spin! The Cruz campaign merely repeated a CNN report that Carson was pulling out of Iowa. Then, urging people to caucus for Cruz.... that's POLITICS!

Meanwhile, Trump can insinuate Carson is "pathological" and "damaged" and that's not "stealing" a thing?

I agree that the news of Cruz's "dirty trick" has been overblown. Politics have been dirty since politics have existed. Of course it would be nice if that weren't the case, but that's the reality we live in. Notice the "cleaner" candidates were the ones who finished third or less in Iowa.

Uh Oh, Was Marco Rubio Guilty in the Ben Carson Dropout Rumor?

Why is one candidate, Cruz, being vehemently attacked from numerous angles and another, Rubio, left untouched? Why is Cruz being held personally responsible for the actions of one person on his campaign, but there Rubio is not?

I don’t know about you, but I smell a cover-up to protect FOX News’ and new GOP establishment golden boy, Marco Rubio.

Except that Cruz apologized for the confusion and admitted it should have been clarified that Carson wasn't dropping out of the presidential race. Rubio doubled down and claimed he and his campaign would never do such a thing... which we see by the Conrad Close tweets above, is a lie.

...or Conrad Close's tweets were deliberately misleading. In any event, Cruz's campaign used this unverified misinformation to solicit votes from Carson supporters.

iowa's behind us. trump's so into new hampshire right now, folks.

Huh???? :dunno:

Conrad Close, working on behalf of the Rubio campaign, makes the same exact claim as Cruz's campaign but Cruz's campaign is using unverified information... (reported by CNN)?

No... THIS is a smear campaign on Cruz to diminish his unexpected and astonishing victory in Iowa, while pumping out the narrative that GOPer Rubio won! ...He finished THIRD!

Doesn't fit the Communist/Progressive Race-Baiting narrative. Do you really expect them to stray from the script? Ain't gonna happen my friend. That script's been in place for several decades and many Elections.
