So, it is time to get the word out...

The concept is pretty easy to understand.

The current fascist talking point is that if local communities want to tear down Civil War Statues, then who are we to say otherwise? They conveniently leave off the fact that there is national pressure on these communities to adhere to their Political Correctness or face the consequences.

Fair enough.

In nearly 100% of these communities that have these statutes, they depend heavily upon tourist dollars to sustain them. In truth, many of them have little to recommend them as places to visit except that there has been some historically significant incident that has happened in, near, or around their communities. In other words, it is the Civil War history that brings in these tourist dollars.

So, it if it perfectly okay for the fascists to bring national pressure to remove these statues, then it is perfectly acceptable to withhold our dollars and visits to their communities.

Spread the word. For each town that removes a statue, places them on a no-visit list and then make it known that you intend to visit those communities that do not cave into this kind of PC pressure.

Write letters to your editor, hit up every social media you are associated with, and start writing the Congressmen and Senators that have these communities as their constituents.

If they truly are making a principled stand on this, then the loss of dollars won't matter to them.

Spread the word.
Who do these people think they are deciding what they have in their parks. Fascists. (-:
And why do a handful of leftist activist loons get to decide for the whole community?

concerned interests should construct an indoor museum/exhibit for historical artifacts...

go in if you want to, stay out if you want to, JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP.
No statue shall be removed or defaced. If it is, it goes on the no-visit list.

They have every right to do as they wish in their community, including caving into violence and intimidation. That does not alter the fact that if they do, we should not reward them for their choices.

I agree. Conservatives work for a living and don't have time to protest or start riots. We do things differently. We boycott and express our anger at the voting booth.

It's the same in my city right now. Some members of the Cleveland Browns decided to be anti-American and kneel for the national anthem yesterday. They are no longer welcome on my television set; not that I'm a big sports fan anyway, but I won't allow anti-Americans in my living room even if they make it to the playoffs. I hope my fellow citizens feel the same way.

Exactly. If the majority of citizens (wherever) want the statues taken down, then there is a peaceful political process for that. You don't go there and damage property or start riots. And if a politician(s) go against the majority, the person running against them next election can promise to bring those statues back if elected.

That would be the capitalist/free market way to get'r'done.
I think it could also be thrown into the category of "Peaceful Protest". eh? No bats, no guns, not cement filled soda cans. No cars running over people, no blocked traffic intersections.

Just plain old fashioned boycotting.
Yes with the Internet freely open and available people get to make choices. Propaganda to sell lies and shit dies a slow miserable death as people become more informed. That is how it should work in a government with a constitution based on the principals of liberty and individual freedom of choice.
Speaking of the internet.

I now deem it obsolete.

A waste of valuable resources and should be immediately shut down.

I am your PC police.

Turn off all of your computers, now.

What will the left do if they run out of things that offend them :eusa_think:

That's the big question. First they went after confederate flags and were successful. Now it's statues. Next it may be book burning and destroying movies about the civil war. Finally they will demand a repeal of the US Constitution because it was written by slave owners and is no longer relevant in our modern society.

But OH! You can put these things in a museum! Yeah, out of the view of the public the way leftists want everything they don't agree with.

Now if you can just get the ISIS inspired, terrorist minded KKK nutters to give up their plain old fashioned violence......more power to ya.

When was the last time the KKK became violent without provocation?

A few days ago. Mowing down unarmed protesters with a car comes to mind.

There's not a SHRED of hope or evidence that Maoist style cultural purges like this one would convert even ONE KKK nutter. NONE... Not gonna shrink their membership. MAYbE actually expand it.

I can't say I'm at all convinced that what is going on with the push to remove monuments to the Confederacy is a Maoist style cultural purge. But, I agree membership in the KKK is not going down because of it. Hasn't been for the last 8 years anyway.

Of course it's a purge. Your side has given cover to wide spread hooliganism and vandalism.. Started a discussion that includes PURGING of most all of the Founding Fathers as well. Don't tell me it's not "a thing" in the Fake Mainstream media or CNN or MSNBC.

There was no real reason for starting this civil disruption NOW -- other than your Russia Russia story got it's legs broken. Promoting anarchy and confrontation. It's what your side does the best..

A purge is what some criminals want, those who destroy public property should be dealt with appropriately. The government entities who are removing these monuments have all said they should be preserved for display in a museum somewhere. Maybe they should be given to Rural America.

What I learned of the Purge in China, they destroyed all kinds of artifacts, no preservation. Then they bused all the Urbanites to the country and put them to work on the farm

Who said they want to remove um, purge the Founders?

I think I'll wait for Mueller's investigation to complete.

Maybe the Confederate Statues can get a part in next year's Dr. Who. Call them the Weeping ConAngels
