SnowCastle of Kemi

Wow! Don't think I've ever heard of this before so the pictures really grabbed me @ BBC News - In pictures: SnowCastle of Kemi. So I then checked it out on good old Wikipedia and came up with this - SnowCastle of Kemi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I guess living in prolonged cold is something people become accustomed to. Not me!

You do get used to it, or rather, dress for it. I think it is kind of magical here in the far north of Sweden. Another place in Finland you may want to check out is nearby in Kakslautannen. It is incredible what they have done there with igloo living in a resort atmosphere. It involved the most modern use of resources and technology. Check out the following link for pictures and information. For a romantic getaway, this would be high on my list. Lots of winter activities to participate in when not cuddling by the fire or enjoying the cuisine.Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort - Official website
