From WeaponMan blog @ http://weaponsman.com/?p=12608 comes this story of the skill of American snipers. I can't even conceive the size of a 50 caliber round but six seconds in the air? Windage. Drop. Not an easy thing to do.

Great shot

Nice to see Taliban/AlQaida are not safe wherever they are

Don't think for a minute that this was just a set of shooters in 'guestimate' mode. It was a combination of sniper-school trained shooters with spotters using windage charts and calculators.
They weren't taking any chances, and Mr. Taliban never knew what hit him.
Good job, guys!

Give that fellow a pat on the back for me. I am sure in his mind it was HU-RAH! Since he had to keep his concealment.

Artillery strikes which used to be one of the main supports of infantry Troops are apparently forbidden by the fat asses in the Pentagon because of risk of "collateral damage" so snipers have to risk their lives taking out one individual at a time. What a way to fight a war.
