Smart Democrats understand the big reasons behind the Supreme Court’s decisions

I addressed it. It's hypocritical.

You didn't read it you said at POST 5:

Did I read the American Thinker the site that had to apologize for lying about the elections to not get sued? No I did not.

You are TROLLING not on topic at all.

By the way are you Augustine?

I don't have to read it to know that in one article they are condemning people over not supporting the Supreme Court decision and then in the other condemning the Supreme Court decision.

This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why the Nation is doomed. This argument, the principles behind the argument. Let’s simplify it shall we?

Your rights are not dependent upon the Principles, or Ideals of the Constitution. Your Rights are not God Given, or even enshrined in the founding of the nation. No, your rights are granted you, and subject to the annoyance factor of those in power. If you are too annoying, your rights are stripped from the entire group.

It is the most idiotic example of supposed serious thought I’ve ever read.

Imagine that the question is not one applied to Homosexuals. Imagine that it is being applied to the First Amendment. The powers that be decide that Evangelicals are just too annoying, and remove the first amendment protections from them. Or the Second Amendment. No, we’re not going to allow the Second Amendment to be considered. The group that supports that is just too annoying.

Gay Marriage was based upon equal protection. Every citizen is entitled to equal protection under law. And if you haven’t seen why bans on Gay Marriage were Unconstitutional, then you haven’t really considered it yet.

The arguments proposed here, are idiotic. This group deserves to have their rights stripped, they’re just too annoying. Idiocy.

But because this argument is being put forth, and will become a cornerstone of the move to strip our citizens of their rights, it is just more evidence that the nation, is doomed.

Abortion kills a person.

Same-sex marriage kills no one.

That's the difference to me.

What, the homosexuals? Works for me. Preferably before they give everybody monkeypox. Probably too late already. First 70 million dead from AIDS, now monkeypox, and that meningitis in Florida. I think "annoying" is kind of an understatement.

The Supreme Court does not make decisions because they don't like Pride parades. They also don't make decisions because someone on the Internet thinks the gays han
Thoughtful essay worth read in full.

Smart Democrats understand the big reasons behind the Supreme Court’s decisions

By Andrea Widburg

Excerpt:

Following the Supreme Court’s recent rulings about guns, abortion, public prayer, and limits on the administrative state’s ability to craft legislation, most Democrats have turned to hysteria, threats, and revolting racism. They blame conservatives entirely for what’s happening in America. More thoughtful leftists, however, have looked inward and discovered what really happened: They went too far.

A gay man who goes by the name of “TinFoil” explicitly articulated this sense that the left pushed too hard and far. He understands why Clarence Thomas used Dobbs’ rejection of “substantive due process” to suggest that Obergefell (gay marriage) is also on the chopping block. (Because the text is a bit hard to read, I’ve transcribed it and you can find it at the end of this post.)

(Snip)

The gist is that most gays and lesbians just wanted the right to get married and to live normal lives. However, the activists kept pushing and pushing. They tried to destroy bakers who didn’t cater to them, they aggressively pushed Pride month, they silenced people in workplaces, and then they went after the children with transgenderism, drag queens, and teachers pushing porn.

I know of Gays who hated the stupid embarrassing Gay Parades and wanted to live their married lives alone without all the bullcrap activist gays continually push.
During any other time, I would think that this would have to be a joke. The Supreme Court does not make decisions based on whether someone pushed Pride month too far.

I would say this is ignorant, but it is so much more. This isn't just not knowing how the government, the Supreme Court, or the entire world works; this is the die-hard belief in some sort of alternate-universe, upside-down, fiddle-de-dee version of legal reasoning that is the complete opposite of reality.

Which is why you can't ignore it. Set aside abortion and just think about what this article is saying, just for a second. It says that if activists push too hard, the Supreme Court will cancel a previous decision that granted them Constitutional rights. Does that sound right?

If it does, you need to go back and re-take your 10th grade Government class. Hopefully, you'll get a seat right next to (checks notes) Andrea Widburg.

This is idiotic.
