Four people were injured after a small plane crashed in front of horrified fans at a major NHRA drag racing event in Pomona, California on Sunday.

The crash occurred when the plane attempted to land at an airfield near the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, authorities confirmed.

The pilot and three passengers survived and were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Pomona Police Department said.

Didn't know Harrison Ford liked drag racing. ;)

Everyone survived!

Imagine calling up Jake at State Farm and explaining that your truck got hit by an airplane!
"My truck was totalled at the drag races"

"Sir, we don't cover damage sustained while racing. If you read your policy..."

"It was hit by a plane."

All non-life threatening injuries. Good job getting down, not killing anybody. Congrats to the pilot on that. Can't wait to see the accident report analysis by Pilot Debrief on YouTube.

There's so many small planes in the air at all times it never surprises me to hear of stories like this. The most recent story on small planes (last week or two) was the HondaJet that couldn't abort a takeoff in time and overshot the runway and crashed and burned killing the 4 pasengers but not the pilot and also killing a passing motorist.

Blancolirio (Juan) is better, Pilot Debrief doesn't really cover the most recent accidents, and most all of his are fatal crashes.

Juan Brown might not cover this one either.

There is a lot to be learned from the reports, even or especially when nobody gets killed, about the cause and the emergency actions of the pilot that did not get everybody killed.

Hey, odanny, Blancolirio posted his premliminary take on the crash, two hours ago. Yes, he is good. Like me, he was impressed the pilot did a good job of flying all the way into the crash, and not having any fatalities. The power loss was on short final at low altitude, leaving him not time, but to fly the plane into the crash site, full flaps, nose slightly elevated speed as close to 100 as possible with no engine power and windmilling prop, maintaining control, all the way down, not stalling the aircraft trying to extend. Like I said, last night, Good Job!:D
