Should there be a transfer fee to every person sending money to their “home country” if they can’t prove they are here legally?

And YOUR family came to America too.
But that's different, right.

I'm guessing your family moved to America AFTER the Constitution was written.

Amirite?
None before the mid 1960's immigration received government benefits when they arrived. They needed to have trade for the most part. And they needed some place to go to officially. Understand that. Ask them. Ask the oldest ones.

E verify would work equally well in schools and for renters. If you make it harder to find a place to live and no schools, they won't bring their families and further burden the taxpayers.

Go for it. It's not going to happen.

Illegals aliens sent home $550 billion in 2019. if we were to levy a 30% transfer fee, the approximately $160 billion they and their children cost us would be covered. Shouldn’t illegals cover their own costs rather than saddle honest Americans with the billions of expense associated with them?

Should America make it more difficult for people to support their families?
NO.

Hard to find a job as a homeless person.

Not when the company you are working for knows you are illegal and is paying you to be there. They could not careless about if they have a home or not

There is no law against an illegal's child attending school.

But there is one against hiring an illegal. But companies are hands off for all of you. that is how everyone knows you are a fraud

Already is....did you think transferring money was free?.... :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Sending US currency to another country devalues their currency while making ours more valuable.

Direct foreign investment, referred to in the study in the link, has always existed. Money comes here, too.

$4.63 TRILLION in 2020. I guess that should be punitively taxed by big government, too.

Makes Americans look like people who have regard for American laws, and want to devote limited resources to honest people - not scofflaws from other countries who shouldn’t even be here.
Heartless much?

Nonsense, no companies want homeless workers.

Why do you need a law to use e-verify in schools?

I thought immigration was the government's job, you hypocrites allow sanctuary cities yet expect private companies to do the government's job. Talk about fraud. I support a 90 day amnesty for any company that has illegal workers to rid themselves of them and then full court press on businesses after that.

The lady at Wal Mart has no way to determine who is here legally and who is not. It's quite sad that it seems we want to put enforcement on some person working a counter at Wal Mart as opposed to those who are supposed to be in charge of enforcing the law against those who write them their pay checks to start with.
Bingo. It's not the first time this idea floated, but it sinks on the sea of reality. And not only is it the lady working at wal-mart who'd be responsible for checking ID's, it's the thousands of multi-national bizes (even some family) that routinely send money back and forth over the border.

But if anyone could actually figure out a way to do this, I'm sure most of us would be happy. But workers here legally should not be penalized, and we need more legal immigration, because if anyone noticed, one result of Trump ending legal immigration from Mexico is that we LACK sufficient workers. But of course the gop is more concerned with making sure we have a suffiecient supply of white babies to meet the market for adoptions.
